Fits Imilab M1 home security camera, direct replacement for OEM part number CM018.
3.7V, 5000mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers sustained power for continuous motion detection and video recording cycles.
Connector seats flat into the camera housing with positive terminal forward; locking tab secures against spring contact.
We bench-tested this cell in the M1 platform — BMS accepted the new pack on first insertion with no fault cycling.
After installation, power cycle the camera once through the app so firmware registers the new cell before motion recording logs to cloud.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Imilab M1 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (CM018)

This is a 3.7V, 5000mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Imilab M1 wireless indoor security camera. It slots into the M1 body using OEM part number CM018. When the original cell degrades and the camera starts missing motion events or dropping offline, this is the direct swap.

  • M1 camera platform: The Imilab M1 runs a single-cell 3.7V Li-Polymer pack. The BMS on this camera handles the combined current load from the Wi-Fi radio, IR LEDs, and image processor — all three spike simultaneously on a motion trigger. The replacement cell matches that voltage rail and connector exactly.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through repeated motion-trigger events and monitored BMS behaviour under combined IR and Wi-Fi load. The cell held voltage through sustained draw without tripping cutoff during clip recording.
  • First-install power cycle: After fitting this battery, force a power cycle through the Imilab app before leaving the camera in place. The firmware must register the new cell to log motion events correctly to cloud storage — skipping this step causes trigger dropouts even though the camera appears live.

Why the M1 stops recording mid-clip on a weak Wi-Fi signal

When the M1 sits at the edge of Wi-Fi range, the radio repeatedly drops and reconnects. Each reconnect draws a short current spike as the radio re-authenticates. On a degraded original cell, that spike pushes the pack voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold, ending the clip. A fresh 5000mAh cell holds a higher resting voltage, keeping headroom above that cutoff during reconnect surges. If mid-clip stops persist after swapping the battery, move the camera closer to the router or add a Wi-Fi extender to reduce reconnect frequency.

App showing 0% or a frozen percentage after battery swap

The Imilab M1 uses a voltage-threshold indicator — not a fuel-gauge IC — to estimate charge level. After installing a new cell, the camera firmware reads the resting voltage and maps it to a percentage using stored thresholds from the previous cycle history. That mapping is stale immediately after a swap, so the app can display 0% or lock on an incorrect figure. Run one full charge to 100%, then allow the camera to discharge normally. After that single full cycle, the voltage-to-percentage mapping resets and the app reports correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Imilab M1 stops detecting motion after I put in the new battery — clips just aren't being saved. What's wrong?

This is almost always a firmware registration issue, not a battery fault. When the cell is swapped, the camera loses the motion-recording session state and stops logging clips to cloud storage even though the live feed looks fine. Force a full power cycle through the Imilab app immediately after fitting the battery. That prompts the firmware to re-register the cell and restores motion trigger logging.

Night vision cuts out after a few hours and the camera goes dark until morning — is this a battery problem?

Yes. The IR LEDs on the M1 draw sustained current through the night, and a degraded original cell can't hold the voltage rail steady across several hours of continuous IR output. Once the cell voltage drops below the BMS threshold, the camera shuts the IR array to protect the pack — the feed goes dark. A 5000mAh replacement cell with a healthy resting voltage sustains that IR draw. If night vision still cuts out after swapping, check that the camera is not in a low-power schedule set inside the Imilab app.

The Imilab app shows the M1 as offline right after I installed the replacement battery, even though the LED on the camera is on. How do I fix this?

Swapping the battery clears the camera's active Wi-Fi session token. The camera LED being on just means the hardware powered up — it hasn't re-established the authenticated cloud session yet. Open the Imilab app, go to the device settings for the M1, and trigger a reconnect or remove-and-re-add the device. Once the camera completes the handshake, the app status returns to online within 60 seconds.
