Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Infinuvo Cleanmate S300 / S400 — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (NSAA-12)

This is a 14.4V, 800mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Infinuvo Cleanmate S300 and Cleanmate S400 robotic vacuum cleaners. It replaces OEM part NSAA-12 and slots into the same battery bay without modification. Capacity figures are taken directly from the product specification — 800mAh, 11.52Wh.

  • S300 and S400 compatibility: Both models run the same 14.4V battery bay and use identical connector pinouts and BMS handshake logic. The shared NSAA-12 part number confirms Infinuvo used the same power architecture across both units — no adapter or wiring change needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the S300 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, voltage held steady under motor load, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage threshold before the motor stalled.
  • Dock charging behaviour on Ni-MH: Do not leave the Cleanmate sitting on the charging dock indefinitely. Ni-MH cells are more vulnerable to trickle-charge damage than Li-ion. Charge to full, remove from the dock, and return it only when the battery is depleted.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the S300

The S300 motor draws more current when the filter is partially blocked or the brush roll is restricted. Under that extra load, a degraded Ni-MH cell cannot hold its voltage rail, and the motor slows before the battery indicator registers low. The battery is not necessarily flat — it is sagging under load. Clean the filter and check the brush roll for hair wrap first. If suction recovers after cleaning, the issue is airflow restriction, not the cell itself.

Motor cuts out mid-cycle then restarts after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip. When the S300 hits a sustained blockage — dense carpet pile, a stuck brush roll, or a clogged filter — current draw spikes beyond the cell's protection threshold. The BMS shuts the output to protect the cell, then resets once temperature and current drop. This is not a faulty battery. Clear the blockage, remove debris from the brush chamber, and verify the filter is clean. If the trip keeps happening on clear floors, check whether the roller motor itself is binding.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Cleanmate S300 suction gets noticeably weaker halfway through a clean even though the battery light still shows full — what's causing that?

A Ni-MH cell under motor load drops its voltage before the indicator circuit registers it as low. If the filter is even partially blocked, the motor pulls harder, and the voltage sag happens earlier in the cycle. Clean the filter first — if suction strength returns to normal, restricted airflow was the cause, not battery capacity. If cleaning the filter makes no difference, the cell is fading and needs replacement.

The Cleanmate keeps cutting out on thick carpet and then starting again on its own — is the battery failing?

That restart pattern is the BMS tripping on an overcurrent spike, not a dead cell. Thick carpet increases brush roll resistance, which drives up motor current until the protection circuit shuts the output. The BMS resets automatically once current drops, which is why the unit restarts. Check the brush roll for hair and fibre wrap, and verify the filter is clear — both increase draw. If the trips stop after cleaning, the battery is fine.

We replaced the battery on the S300 but the capacity faded much faster than expected after only a few months — what went wrong?

Ni-MH cells degrade quickly on continuous dock charge. The S300 charging dock does not stop delivering current once the cell is full — it shifts to a low trickle, which damages Ni-MH chemistry over time. The fix is simple: charge to full, then physically remove the unit from the dock and only return it when the battery is depleted. Storing the vacuum off-dock at roughly 40–60% charge between uses will slow capacity fade further.
