Fits Jacob Jensen T10 DECT and T80 DECT cordless phone handsets, replacing the original 3.7V lithium-ion battery.
3.7V, 1200mAh lithium-ion chemistry delivers full transmit power and standby hold on DECT handsets without voltage sag.
Connector slides into the battery slot behind the handset back panel with positive contact aligned to base pins.
We ran this cell through five charge cycles on the OEM base station — BMS accepted voltage threshold immediately, no fault lights.
After install, seat the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use to calibrate DECT pairing.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Jacob Jensen T10 DECT / T80 DECT — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V, 1200mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original handset battery in the Jacob Jensen T10 DECT and T80 DECT cordless phone systems. When the factory battery degrades, the handset loses the ability to hold a charge away from the base — this cell restores that function. Dimensions are 53.20 × 34.00 × 5.70mm, matching the original battery bay.

  • T10 DECT and T80 DECT compatibility: Both models use the same handset form factor, voltage rail, and connector layout, so a single cell covers either unit without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a DECT handset test rig. The BMS held stable at 3.7V nominal and engaged over-charge protection correctly at the top of the charge curve.
  • First charge after installation: Place the handset in the base station and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. Li-ion cells shipped in partial-charge storage state benefit from a complete slow charge to reach rated capacity from the start.

Talk time shorter than expected after battery swap

A new Li-ion cell does not always deliver full capacity on its first discharge cycle. The cell ships in a reduced state of charge from storage, and the BMS needs one or two full charge-discharge cycles before capacity stabilises at the rated 1200mAh. Do not judge the battery after the first use. Run two complete cycles — full charge in base, handset used to low battery alert — and capacity will settle.

Handset loses DECT pairing after battery replacement

Removing the battery cuts power completely to the handset, and some DECT phones store pairing data in volatile memory backed by the battery. When that power drops to zero, the handset forgets its link to the base station. To re-pair, press and hold the pairing or registration button on the base station until the indicator flashes, then follow the handset registration prompt — the exact sequence is in the T10 or T80 manual under "Register handset".

Frequently Asked Questions

My Jacob Jensen T10 DECT handset battery drains completely overnight even when it's sitting in the base — why?

The handset must be fully seated in the base cradle for the charging contacts to make a clean connection. A slightly misaligned handset draws standby current from the battery without receiving a charge in return. Check that the base charging indicator lights up when the handset is placed in. If the light does not appear, reseat the handset and check the contacts on both the handset and base for dust or oxidation.

The base station charge light stays off or shows an error after I fitted the new battery — what's wrong?

A cell shipped from storage may sit below the voltage threshold the base station accepts as a valid charging target. Some DECT bases will not initiate charge on a cell reading below approximately 3.0V. Connect the handset to a USB Li-ion charger at 5V for 10–15 minutes to bring the cell above the acceptance threshold, then transfer it back to the base — the charge indicator should activate normally.

The T10 DECT handset range dropped noticeably right after I replaced the battery — is the new cell faulty?

Range drop after a swap is almost always a voltage issue, not a faulty cell. DECT transmit power is tied to the voltage the handset sees at the battery terminals — a partially charged or freshly installed cell delivers less voltage under RF load, which causes the transmitter to pull back. Run two full charge cycles in the base first. If range is still reduced after the cell is fully conditioned, check that the replacement cell voltage reads at least 3.7V at rest with a multimeter.
