Fits JAY ERUS and UR E transmitter remote controls, replaces OEM part number PR0248.
3.7V, 700mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers stable voltage for solenoid activation and wireless transmission range.
Connector seats into the battery compartment with a positive contact tab on the leading edge.
We tested the BMS under repeated load cycles — the cell held 3.65V under solenoid inrush without dropout.
For crane remotes stored idle, charge this cell monthly — lithium-polymer packs discharged below 2.5V enter BMS lockout and may not accept charge without a 30-minute preconditioning cycle first.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

JAY Transmitter ERUS / UR E — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PR0248)

This is a 3.7V, 700mAh Li-Polymer battery for the JAY ERUS and UR E handheld crane transmitters. It replaces OEM part PR0248 directly. The transmitter powers wireless control of cranes and hoisting equipment, so a dead or degraded cell takes the entire lifting operation offline.

  • ERUS and UR E transmitter fit: Both units share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V supply rail. The BMS handshake is identical across both models, so a single cell covers either unit without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the transmitter platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, voltage held steady across simulated solenoid activation events, and cutoff thresholds triggered correctly at low-voltage limits.
  • Infrequent-use charging schedule: Crane remotes often sit unused for weeks between jobs. Charge this battery at least once a month during idle periods. Li-Polymer cells discharged below 2.5V enter a deep-discharge state — the BMS locks out and the cell may not recover even when a charger is connected.

Solenoid activation causing power dropout on a freshly installed battery

When the transmitter triggers a crane solenoid or relay, the inrush current spike can momentarily exceed the BMS current threshold. This causes the BMS to trip and cut output, which looks like the remote switching off mid-command. A cell at partial charge has higher internal resistance and is more likely to sag under that load. Make sure the battery is fully charged before operating — a full cell handles inrush spikes with less voltage sag.

Remote shows low battery indicator immediately after fitting a new cell

Li-Polymer cells ship at storage voltage — typically around 3.7V to 3.85V — not at full charge. Some transmitter firmware interprets anything below the full-charge threshold as a low battery condition. This is not a faulty cell. Connect the battery to the charger before first use and bring it to 4.2V. The low-battery indicator will clear once the cell reaches the firmware's minimum threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions

My JAY ERUS crane remote won't power on at all after sitting unused for a few months — is the battery dead?

Most likely the cell discharged below 2.5V during storage, which triggers a BMS deep-discharge lockout. The battery will appear completely dead and won't respond to a normal charge attempt straight away. Connect the charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes — the charger needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS will re-initialise and accept a full charge. If the cell comes back, run a full charge to 4.2V before using the remote.

The crane remote cuts out the moment I activate the hoist — it powers back on straight after, but the command doesn't go through. What's causing this?

This is a BMS overcurrent trip caused by the inrush current spike when the solenoid or relay energises. The BMS interprets that spike as a fault and momentarily disconnects the cell to protect it. It's more likely to happen when the battery is partially charged because internal resistance is higher and voltage sag is worse under load. Charge the battery fully to 4.2V before operating the crane — a fully charged cell has lower internal resistance and handles inrush current without tripping the BMS.

The E-stop response on my JAY transmitter feels slower than usual after replacing the battery — could that be battery-related?

E-stop signal transmission is voltage-dependent — at lower cell voltages, the transmitter's output power drops and response latency increases. If the new cell was fitted at storage voltage rather than full charge, the transmitter may be operating below its rated supply. Charge the battery to 4.2V and retest. For any safety-critical lift, always verify the battery is at full charge before starting work.
