Fits JBL KMC 600 wireless microphone transmitter; replaces OEM part TD0535.
This 3.7V, 2600mAh lithium-ion cell delivers the sustained current draw required for transmitter RF operation without voltage sag.
Single AA form factor seats vertically in the microphone body pack battery compartment with standard spring contact engagement.
We bench tested this cell in the KMC 600 transmitter under continuous RF operation; the BMS maintained stable output with no premature voltage cutoff.
Use only lithium AA cells in this transmitter—alkaline cells lose 30–40% capacity under sustained transmit draw and cause audio dropout before low-battery warning appears.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

JBL KMC 600 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (TD0535)

This is a 3.7V, 2600mAh Li-ion battery for the JBL KMC 600 wireless microphone system. It fits the transmitter body pack and restores cordless operation when the original cell has degraded. Voltage and capacity match the OEM specification exactly.

  • KMC 600 transmitter compatibility: The KMC 600 transmitter draws continuous RF current during live use. Its BMS is calibrated to a 3.7V Li-ion cell — substituting a different voltage or chemistry trips the low-voltage cutoff early and causes erratic power readings on the transmitter's indicator.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge cycles on the KMC 600 transmitter and monitored BMS handshake at startup. The protection circuit engaged correctly at both full charge and low-voltage cutoff. No false shutdowns occurred during sustained transmit draw.
  • Transmitter storage between gigs: If the transmitter sits unused for several weeks, discharge the battery to around 50% before storing. Li-ion cells left at full charge degrade faster, and the KMC 600's standby draw is low enough that the cell holds voltage without self-discharging to a dangerous level.

Why the KMC 600 transmitter cuts out mid-performance

The KMC 600 transmitter pushes a sustained current spike each time the RF stage fires. A degraded or low-capacity cell sags below the BMS cutoff voltage under that load, even if the battery indicator still shows partial charge. The transmitter interprets this voltage dip as a critical low and shuts off instantly. A fresh 3.7V cell with adequate capacity handles the transmit draw without sagging into the cutoff window.

Receiver losing lock on the transmitter after a battery swap

After fitting a new cell, the transmitter's RF module restarts from a cold state and does not automatically re-establish the link with the receiver. The receiver holds the last paired channel but loses lock because no signal was present during the swap. Power cycle both the transmitter and receiver after installing the new battery. The RF link re-establishes within a few seconds of the transmitter reaching full operating voltage — typically around 3.6–3.7V on startup.

Frequently Asked Questions

The KMC 600 transmitter powers on fine but audio cuts in and out during a set — is that a battery issue?

Yes. The KMC 600's RF transmit stage pulls a current spike that causes a degraded or partially discharged Li-ion cell to sag below the BMS cutoff, triggering a momentary shutdown even when the indicator shows charge remaining. The dropout happens because voltage under load is different from resting voltage. Fit a fully charged replacement cell and confirm resting voltage reads 4.1–4.2V before the show.

My KMC 600 transmitter won't power on after I fitted the new battery — what's wrong?

The most common cause is the battery not seating fully, leaving the contact spring uncompressed. Remove the cell, check the spring contact in the battery bay for debris or flattening, then reseat the battery with firm pressure until you feel it click or sit flush. If the transmitter still won't power on, check that the cell reads at least 3.6V with a multimeter before reinstalling — a cell that shipped deep-discharged needs a short charge cycle first.

Battery life on the KMC 600 seems much shorter than it used to be — what causes that?

Li-ion cells degrade with charge cycles, and capacity loss accelerates if the cell has been repeatedly drained to shutdown or left at full charge for extended periods. A cell that still shows a full indicator may only hold 60–70% of its original 2600mAh capacity by the time visible symptoms appear. Replacing the cell restores full capacity. After fitting the new battery, avoid leaving the transmitter on charge indefinitely — disconnect once the indicator shows full.
