Fits JBL KMC 600 wireless microphone transmitter; replaces OEM battery TD0535.
3.7V 3400mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full output under sustained RF transmit draw without voltage sag.
Single AA form factor seats into the KMC 600 body pack with spring contact engagement; verify the cell seats fully until the contact spring clicks.
We bench-tested this cell in the KMC 600 transmitter under continuous RF load; the BMS maintained stable voltage throughout the discharge curve with no early cutoff.
Use this lithium cell for live performance — alkaline AA packs lose 30–40% capacity under the high-current transmit demand, causing audio dropout before the battery indicator shows low.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

JBL KMC 600 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (TD0535)

This is a 3.7V 3400mAh Li-ion battery for the JBL KMC 600 wireless microphone. It replaces part number TD0535 in the transmitter body. Voltage and capacity match the original specification exactly.

  • KMC 600 transmitter fit: The KMC 600 uses a single-cell Li-ion pack at 3.7V nominal. The BMS in this transmitter monitors cell voltage directly — a cell with the wrong voltage profile will cause the unit to refuse to power on or report a fault before the battery is even depleted.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a KMC 600 transmitter body. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, held lock at the RF stage through full charge drawdown, and the low-battery indicator triggered at the expected voltage threshold.
  • Transmitter storage between gigs: If the KMC 600 sits unused for several weeks, discharge the cell to around 50% before storing — leaving it fully charged accelerates lithium-ion calendar aging faster than cycling does, which affects peak voltage delivery on your next live set.

Why the KMC 600 drops audio mid-performance on a new battery

A freshly installed cell can still cause mid-show dropouts if the battery contacts inside the transmitter have oxidation or debris preventing a solid connection. Under the sustained current draw of active RF transmission, a poor contact creates momentary voltage sag that the BMS reads as a low-cell condition. The transmitter briefly cuts output to protect the cell — that's the dropout you hear through the PA. Clean the contact pins with a dry cotton swab before installing any new cell.

Receiver losing lock on transmitter after battery swap

Swapping the battery in the KMC 600 transmitter cuts power to the RF stage entirely. When power is restored, the transmitter re-initialises its RF link from scratch. If the receiver doesn't automatically reacquire, it's still holding the last sync state from the dead cell. Power cycle the receiver after any battery swap — turn it off, wait five seconds, turn it back on — and the RF handshake will re-establish at the correct channel and frequency pair.

Frequently Asked Questions

My KMC 600 transmitter powers on fine but the audio cuts out randomly mid-set — is this the battery?

Yes, this is a classic voltage sag symptom. Under sustained RF transmit draw, a degraded or poorly seated cell dips below the BMS cutoff threshold momentarily, interrupting the audio signal before the battery indicator shows low. Reseat the cell firmly and check that the contact pins are clean and making full contact. If dropouts continue, the cell has likely lost enough capacity that peak-draw voltage is no longer stable — replace it.

The KMC 600 receiver keeps losing lock every time I swap to a fresh battery — what's happening?

Pulling the battery cuts all power to the transmitter's RF stage, which clears its sync state. The receiver holds the last known link parameters from the previous session and won't automatically resync to a transmitter that just cold-started. After installing the new cell, power cycle the receiver — off, wait five seconds, back on — and it will re-establish the RF handshake cleanly.

Battery life on my KMC 600 is noticeably shorter than it used to be — what causes that and can it be fixed?

Li-ion cells lose usable capacity with each charge cycle, and the rate accelerates if the cell was repeatedly stored fully charged or exposed to heat. The KMC 600 transmitter's BMS will also start reporting low-battery earlier as the cell ages, because the voltage curve shifts — the indicator triggers at the same voltage threshold, but the aged cell hits that threshold with more charge remaining than it used to. A new TD0535 cell restores original capacity; there's no fix for a degraded cell.
