Fits JNC Multimedia SSF-M2 and SSF-M20 portable media players; replaces OEM part DM-FV10BP.
This 3.7V 1200mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full playback duration on single charge cycles.
Connector slides into the battery slot with positive terminal facing the contact spring.
We tested the BMS on cold insertion; voltage regulation held steady through discharge curve.
After installing, connect the charger and wait 30 minutes before powering on the device—media players enter deep discharge protection after storage and need slow trickle acceptance first.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

JNC Multimedia SSF-M2 / SSF-M20 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (DM-FV10BP)

This is a 3.7V, 1200mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the JNC Multimedia SSF-M2 and SSF-M20 portable media players. It matches the original DM-FV10BP specification at 4.44Wh and fits the same physical envelope at 54.91 × 35.56 × 6.13mm. If your player no longer holds a charge or won't power on, this is the direct cell swap.

  • SSF-M2 and SSF-M20 compatibility: Both models run the same 3.7V single-cell architecture with an identical connector and BMS handshake. One cell fits both units — no firmware or hardware difference affects compatibility.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the SSF-M2 platform. The BMS accepted charge current without fault codes, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • Post-swap initialisation on the SSF-M2: After fitting a new cell, connect the charger before attempting to power on. Media players in this class enter a deep-discharge protection state during storage. A slow trickle charge for 20–30 minutes clears the protection state and allows normal charge current to resume.

Battery percentage jumping after cell swap on the SSF-M2

The SSF-M2 uses a voltage-threshold gauge — it reads the cell voltage and maps it to a percentage using fixed lookup points. A new cell with a fresh charge profile won't match the lookup table the device has calibrated to the old, degraded cell. You'll see the percentage jump from 80% to full, or drop suddenly near the end. Run two or three full charge-to-cutoff cycles and the gauge recalibrates. After that the percentage display stabilises at the correct thresholds — roughly 4.2V at full and 3.0V at cutoff.

Playback cutting out before the battery indicator shows empty

The audio amplifier in the SSF-M2 draws a brief current spike during playback that the battery gauge doesn't account for. As the cell reaches the bottom of its discharge curve, voltage sags under that load before the indicator registers low battery. The device cuts out to protect the cell — not because the gauge is wrong, but because the amplifier load hits the BMS low-voltage threshold first. If this happens regularly, charge the device before the indicator drops below 20%.

Frequently Asked Questions

My SSF-M2 won't turn on at all after sitting unused for a few months — is the battery dead or just drained?

Almost certainly deep-discharge protection, not a dead cell. When a Li-ion cell drops below roughly 2.5V, the BMS locks the battery out to prevent damage. Connect the charger and leave it for 30 minutes without pressing the power button — the trickle charge slowly brings the cell back above the recovery threshold. Once the device shows a charge indicator, proceed with a normal full charge before use.

The battery percentage on my SSF-M2 drops from 100% to around 40% within minutes of unplugging the charger — what's happening?

This is voltage-threshold recalibration after fitting a new cell, or after the original cell's capacity has faded significantly. The device mapped its percentage steps to the old cell's voltage curve. The new cell (or a freshly charged old one) sits at a higher resting voltage, so the gauge briefly reads high and then corrects sharply once any load pulls the voltage into the accurate range. Run three complete charge-to-cutoff cycles and the gauge will stabilise to the correct readings.

My SSF-M2 charges fine but loses power much faster when I use the wireless features versus just playing audio — is the battery faulty?

The battery is working correctly. Wireless functions draw four to five times the current of audio-only playback on devices in this class. That higher draw pulls the cell voltage down faster and hits the low-voltage BMS cutoff sooner than the battery gauge predicts. There's no fault to fix — reduce wireless use when charge is low, or charge before the indicator drops below 30% when using connected features heavily.
