Fits Lenovo IdeaPad B465, B465A, B465C, B465G and related variants; replaces OEM part numbers 3ICR19/66-2, L10C6Y11, and L10M6Y11.
This cell delivers 11.1V at 4400mAh (48.84Wh) — matches the original pack output for full system stability under CPU and display load.
Connector type is the standard Lenovo rectangular keyed design; locking tab seats flush into the battery slot with no force required.
We bench-tested the BMS against a B465 motherboard; the pack accepted charge without firmware blocks and held voltage under sustained load draw.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings common after cell replacement.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo B465 Series — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (3ICR19/66-2)

This is an 11.1V, 4400mAh (48.84Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Lenovo IdeaPad B465 notebook. It fits the B465, B465A, B465C, and B465G, among other models in the series. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge or the OS reports capacity as critically degraded.

  • B465 series compatibility: The B465 family shares a common 11.1V three-cell battery bay and identical connector pinout across the A, C, and G sub-variants. The BMS handshake uses the same EEPROM protocol on all of them, so one cell fits the entire lineup without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a B465 unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the new cell, balanced across all three groups, and reported capacity correctly in Lenovo Vantage after the learn cycle completed.
  • Post-install calibration on B465: After fitting this battery, run one full discharge until the laptop hibernates on its own, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the machine. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears immediately after every cell swap on this platform.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell

The B465 BIOS reads health data from the battery's EEPROM, which stores cycle count and rated capacity from the previous cell. When a new cell is installed, that EEPROM data doesn't automatically reset, so the BIOS flags the battery as degraded even though the new cell is at full capacity. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% triggers the learn cycle and rewrites the BIOS health register. After that cycle, Lenovo Vantage and the Windows power report should reflect the correct 48.84Wh rating.

Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on the B465

This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The gauge maps the old cell's discharge profile onto the new one, so the percentage reading drifts and the laptop hits a voltage cliff before the displayed number reaches zero. The fix is two or three full discharge-to-hibernate and uninterrupted-recharge cycles, which let the fuel gauge IC relearn the new cell's curve. After calibration, the shutdown threshold should align with the actual cell voltage at cutoff, typically around 9.0V under load.

Frequently Asked Questions

The B465 shows the new battery as "0% available (plugged in, not charging)" straight after fitting — what's wrong?

The BIOS is still reading EEPROM data written by the old cell and hasn't yet accepted the new one's identity. Shut the laptop down completely, unplug AC, hold the power button for 10 seconds to drain residual voltage from the board, then reconnect AC and power on. This forces the BIOS to re-poll the battery controller and usually clears the 0% lock on the first boot.

Windows is showing this battery as 35Wh in the power report but the spec says 48.84Wh — is the cell underspec?

No — the Wh figure in Windows pulls from the EEPROM's "design capacity" field, which still holds the old cell's rated value until a full learn cycle rewrites it. The physical cell is correct at 48.84Wh. Run one complete discharge to hibernate-cutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%, and the design capacity figure in the Windows battery report will update to match the new cell.

Charge stops at 80% on the B465 and won't go higher — is the replacement battery faulty?

Almost certainly not. Lenovo's BIOS includes a battery conservation mode that caps charging at 55% or 80% depending on the firmware setting. Check Lenovo Vantage under Power → Battery Settings and confirm "Battery Conservation Mode" is off. If Vantage isn't installed, enter the BIOS at startup, navigate to Config → Power, and disable the charge threshold there — the battery will then charge to 100% normally.
