Fits Lenovo Flex 5G and 81XE/82AK models; replaces OEM part L19M4PD4, SB10W84711, 5B10W84712.
7.7V, 7800mAh (60.06Wh) lithium-polymer; this capacity restores full charge cycles on the Flex 5G after degradation.
Connector slides into the internal battery slot with single plastic locking tab; orientation marked on the pack.
We bench-tested against OEM reference; BMS registered capacity without lockout, voltage curve stable under 25W sustained load.
After installation, discharge fully to system hibernation, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings that appear after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo Flex 5G-14Q8CX05 — 7.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (L19M4PD4)

This 7.7V, 7800mAh (60.06Wh) lithium-polymer battery replaces the original L19M4PD4 cell in the Lenovo Flex 5G and Flex 5G-14Q8CX05 (81XE / 82AK) convertible notebook. It fits the same internal bay and connects via the same BMS-managed connector as the factory unit. Voltage and capacity match OEM specifications exactly.

  • Flex 5G 81XE and 82AK compatibility: Both chassis variants use the same 7.7V two-cell Li-Polymer configuration, the same physical connector, and the same BMS handshake protocol. A single replacement cell covers both board revisions without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on a Flex 5G unit and logged BMS communication at charge initiation, mid-charge taper, and full-charge cutoff. The protection circuit responded correctly at each threshold — no false-trip events during the test runs.
  • First-cycle calibration after install: After fitting the new cell, run the laptop down until it hibernates on low-battery cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the machine. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

Why the Flex 5G shuts down at 20–30% after a battery swap

The Flex 5G's BIOS tracks discharge curves from the previous cell. When a new cell goes in, the stored curve no longer matches actual cell chemistry, so the fuel gauge IC miscalculates the voltage cliff. Under full CPU and display load, the new cell's actual voltage drops faster than the BIOS expects — triggering an emergency shutdown while the reported percentage still looks healthy. Running two or three full discharge-to-hibernate and uninterrupted charge-to-100% cycles overwrites the old curve data and realigns the gauge to the new cell.

BIOS showing battery Wh rating as wrong after replacement

System information reporting an unexpected Wh figure — such as 57Wh instead of 60.06Wh — is an EEPROM data mismatch, not a capacity fault. The BIOS reads the rated Wh value stored in the old cell's EEPROM and compares it against the new cell's reported data. The two values can differ slightly due to chemistry tolerance between production batches. After one full calibration cycle, the fuel gauge IC recalculates actual usable capacity and the displayed Wh figure stabilises. If it does not update, enter Lenovo Vantage, navigate to Power, and trigger a battery gauge reset from there.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Lenovo Flex 5G shows the new battery as "0%" or "unknown" straight after fitting — is the cell dead?

It is not dead. The BIOS fuel gauge IC lost its reference point when the old cell was removed, so it reports unknown or zero until it completes a learn cycle. Plug in the charger and let the laptop charge uninterrupted to 100%, then run it down to hibernate cutoff once. After that cycle the gauge has a fresh baseline and the reading returns to normal.

Lenovo Vantage says my replacement battery health is "poor" the moment I install it — should I return it?

No. The "poor health" flag reads EEPROM cycle-count and charge data written by the original cell. A new cell carries no matching history, so Vantage flags it as degraded by default. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. Vantage re-evaluates health status after the learn cycle completes and the flag clears on its own.

The Flex 5G stops charging at 80% and will not go higher — is the replacement cell faulty?

Almost certainly not the cell. Lenovo's BIOS ships with a firmware-controlled charge limit that caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress — it is a software setting, not a hardware fault. Open Lenovo Vantage, go to Power, select Battery Settings, and switch Conservation Mode off. The charge ceiling immediately moves back to 100%.
