Fits Lenovo K6 Note, K8 Plus, and K6 Note Dual SIM — replaces OEM part BL273.
3.8V nominal, 3750mAh capacity restores full charge cycles on this mid-range Android phone.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab on the left edge.
Bench testing showed normal BMS handshake on first insertion; fuel gauge IC accepted the new cell without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this recalibrates the fuel gauge IC against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo K6 Note / K8 Plus — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL273)

This is a 3.8V, 3750mAh (14.25Wh) lithium-polymer battery for the Lenovo K6 Note, K6 Note Dual SIM, and K8 Plus. It replaces OEM part number BL273 directly. Use it when the original cell no longer holds a charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.

  • K6 Note and K8 Plus compatibility: Both devices run the same 3.8V battery rail and use the same BL273 connector footprint and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers all three variants listed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the cell through full charge and discharge on a K6 Note unit. The BMS accepted the cell without error, voltage held steady through the mid-range discharge curve, and the charge IC completed a full cycle without flagging a fault.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins — skipping this step causes the OS to report inaccurate percentages for several days.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the K6 Note after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's voltage-to-capacity curve. The new cell hits its voltage cliff at a different point, so the phone cuts power before the OS registers empty. The modem and display together draw enough current during peak load to pull the terminal voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold even when the gauge still shows charge remaining. One full discharge-charge cycle with fast charging off re-anchors the coulomb counter to the new cell.

Phone won't power on after the BL273 sat in storage

Lithium-polymer cells in storage self-discharge slowly. If the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters a lockout state and blocks normal charging to prevent thermal runaway on a deeply depleted cell. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. Most BMS controllers on this platform will accept a trickle pre-charge at that point and exit lockout once the cell recovers to around 3.0V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My K6 Note is showing the wrong battery percentage after I fitted the BL273 — it jumped from 40% to 8% with no warning. What's happening?

The fuel gauge IC on the K6 Note uses a coulomb counter calibrated to the original cell's specific discharge curve. When you install a new cell, that calibration is wrong, so percentage readings drift or jump — especially below 40% where the voltage curve steepens. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with fast charging disabled. After that cycle, the IC re-anchors its reference points and percentage reporting stabilises.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in the K6 Note after replacing the battery — is the charger or the new cell at fault?

The charge IC on the K6 Note negotiates current levels with the BMS on the first cycle. A new cell with a slightly higher internal impedance than the aged original can cause the IC to drop back to standard charging rates as a precaution. This is normal behaviour on the first charge — plug into the original wall adapter, let the cycle complete fully, and fast charging will re-engage on the second cycle once the IC has measured the cell's actual impedance profile.

The K6 Note feels warm near the battery during the first few charges after the swap — is that a fault?

Warmth during early charging cycles on a new high-impedance cell is expected. A fresh lithium-polymer cell has higher internal resistance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more heat until the cell completes its first few cycles and resistance drops. If the phone becomes hot to the touch — not just warm — or the charger disconnects mid-cycle, remove the phone from the charger and let it cool to room temperature before continuing. Normal warmth should stop being noticeable after three full charge cycles.
