This 7.4V 4600mAh (34.04Wh) Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the Lenovo Yoga 2 11 convertible notebook. It fits the 11.6-inch models including the Yoga 2 11-59417913 and Ideapad Yoga 2332. OEM part numbers L13M4P21, L13L4P21, and 121500224 all cross-reference to this cell.

  • Yoga 2 11 platform compatibility: These models share the same 7.4V two-cell Li-Polymer architecture, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The fuel gauge IC communicates directly with the Lenovo BIOS over SMBus — the cell must match the voltage rail exactly or the system will refuse to charge.

The fix is to let the laptop run to a hard hibernate twice in a row, then charge fully each time without interruption. After those calibration cycles, the OS gauge tracks the actual cell voltage accurately and shutdowns at low percentage stop.

The Windows battery meter shows the wrong Wh rating — System Information reports 28Wh instead of 34Wh.

The figure Windows reads comes from the EEPROM on the cell, which stores the rated Wh at time of manufacture. The actual usable capacity of the new Li-Polymer cell is 34.04Wh as stamped on the label, but the OS fuel gauge IC pulls its reference from stored EEPROM data until calibration cycles are completed. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate and full-charge cycles without interruption. The reported Wh figure will update to match the actual cell capacity once the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new discharge curve.

The Yoga 2 11 charges to 80% then stops — the charge indicator just sits there overnight.

The Yoga 2 11 BIOS includes a firmware-controlled charge limit that caps charging at 80% when Conservation Mode is active in Lenovo Vantage or the BIOS power settings. This is a BIOS setting, not a fault with the replacement cell. Open Lenovo Vantage, go to Power, select Battery Settings, and switch Conservation Mode off. The battery will then charge to 100% on the next cycle.
