Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo Yoga Duet 2020 — 7.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (L19C4PD8)
This is a 7.7V, 5250mAh (40.43Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Lenovo Yoga Duet 2020, a 2-in-1 convertible tablet-laptop hybrid. It replaces OEM part numbers L19C4PD8, L19M4PD8, SB10X87837, and SB10X87838. If your Yoga Duet 2020 no longer holds a charge or powers on, this cell directly addresses that failure.
- Yoga Duet 2020 fitment: The Yoga Duet 2020 uses a slim 3.60mm Li-Polymer cell to fit inside its tablet-form chassis. All four OEM part numbers above cross to this same cell configuration — same voltage rail, same BMS handshake, same connector pinout. No modification needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on Yoga Duet 2020 hardware. The BMS communicated correctly with the firmware, charge acceptance was normal from 0% to 100%, and no unexpected cutoffs occurred under combined CPU and display load.
- Post-install calibration on the Yoga Duet 2020: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the device. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after replacement
The Yoga Duet 2020 BIOS reads health data stored in the old cell's EEPROM and compares it against the new cell on first boot. Because the new cell hasn't completed a learn cycle, the BIOS flags it as degraded or unknown — even when the cell is brand new. This is a firmware calibration issue, not a fault with the replacement cell. Run the calibration cycle described above and the health indicator will update to reflect the actual cell state within one to two full charge cycles.
Yoga Duet 2020 shutting down at 20–30% remaining after battery swap
This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. When the new cell hits a voltage point that the IC associates with near-empty on the old cell, it triggers a forced shutdown — even though real capacity remains. The cell voltage at that cutoff point is typically around 7.0V under load, which is well above true empty for Li-Polymer. A full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the fuel gauge IC to re-map its curve against the new cell and resolves the premature shutdowns.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Yoga Duet 2020 shows the replacement battery as 0% or "unknown" in Windows — is the cell faulty?
No — the fuel gauge IC is reading EEPROM data from the old cell and hasn't yet mapped its discharge curve against the new one. Windows will report 0% or unknown until at least one full calibration cycle completes. Discharge the device fully to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that cycle the OS fuel gauge will read correctly.
System info in Windows shows the wrong Wh rating for this battery — it's reporting a different number than the original cell's specs.
The Wh figure displayed in Windows is pulled from the EEPROM on the cell, which holds the rated design capacity from manufacture. The new cell's EEPROM value may differ slightly from the original because cell chemistry tolerances and rated vs. actual capacity can vary between production batches. This does not affect charging behaviour or real-world capacity. Check the actual full-charge capacity in Windows Battery Report — run "powercfg /batteryreport" in Command Prompt and compare the Full Charge Capacity row against the Design Capacity row.
The Yoga Duet 2020 won't charge above 80% after fitting the new battery — is the cell defective?
This is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a fault with the replacement cell. Lenovo's firmware includes a battery conservation mode that caps charging at 80% to reduce cycle wear — it is enabled by default on some units or gets toggled on after a BIOS update. Open Lenovo Vantage, go to Power, then Battery Settings, and confirm Conservation Mode is turned off. Once disabled, the battery will charge to 100%.
