Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LG G Flex 2 / H955 / LS996 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL-T16)
This is a 3.8V, 3000mAh (11.4Wh) lithium-polymer replacement battery for the LG G Flex 2 smartphone. It fits the H955, LS996, and H950 model variants, all of which use the OEM part number BL-T16 or EAC62718201. Swap it when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly under load.
- G Flex 2 variant compatibility: The H955, LS996, and H950 share the same curved battery bay geometry and BMS handshake protocol. All require the BL-T16 footprint — 66.04 × 58.36 × 4.95mm — to sit flush against the curved chassis without pressure-warping the display assembly.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full discharge-charge cycle on the H955. The BMS accepted charge handshake on first connection, voltage climbed steadily from resting to 4.35V at full charge, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff without latching.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and complete one full discharge-charge cycle before enabling it again. This lets the coulomb counter IC map the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging begins — skipping this step is the main reason the percentage display reads inaccurate after a cell swap.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the G Flex 2 after a cell swap
The G Flex 2's modem and curved OLED panel draw current spikes that expose a fresh cell's uncalibrated voltage floor. The phone's fuel gauge IC still references the old cell's discharge curve, so it thinks 25% remains when the new cell's actual voltage has already dropped below the system's cutoff threshold. The result is an abrupt shutdown with charge still showing on screen. One complete discharge to auto-off followed by a full charge to 100% resets the coulomb counter and eliminates most of these premature cutoffs.
Phone warm near the battery during the first charge cycle
A new lithium-polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC pushes slightly more voltage to maintain the target current rate. That extra conversion loss shows up as warmth around the battery compartment on the first one or two cycles. It is not a fault — impedance drops as the cell conditions. If the phone stays warm beyond the third full charge, measure the back surface temperature near the battery; anything above 40°C at ambient room temperature warrants checking the connection seating.

Frequently Asked Questions
My LG G Flex 2 shows the percentage jumping around erratically after I installed the new BL-T16 — is the battery defective?
Almost certainly not a defective cell. The fuel gauge IC in the G Flex 2 is still calibrated to the discharge curve of the old battery, so the percentage reading drifts and jumps until it relearns the new cell. Run one complete discharge — let the phone shut itself off — then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charging enabled. After that single cycle the coulomb counter resets to the new cell's curve and the percentage stabilises.
The G Flex 2 won't power on at all after the BL-T16 sat in a drawer for a few months before installation — what's happening?
If the cell voltage dropped below approximately 2.5V during storage, the BMS enters a lockout state and blocks normal charging to protect the cell. Plug in a known-good charger and leave it connected for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS re-entry threshold. Once voltage recovers above 3.0V the BMS releases, the phone boots, and normal charging resumes.
Fast charging stopped working on my G Flex 2 right after I swapped in the new battery — it only slow-charges now.
On the first cycle after a cell replacement, the BMS on the new cell and the phone's charge IC negotiate current limits conservatively until the cell's internal resistance profile is established. The G Flex 2 will often default to standard charge rates for the first full cycle as a result. Complete one full discharge-charge cycle at the standard rate, then re-enable fast charging in the display settings — the charge IC accepts the higher current rate once it has one baseline cycle recorded against the new cell.
