Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Logitech Far East / S-00149 / S100 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (533-000107)
This 3.7V, 700mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the OEM battery in the Logitech Far East, S-00149, and S100 portable wireless speakers. It matches the original pack's footprint at 52.60 × 33.60 × 4.00mm and connects via the factory harness. Capacity figure is 700mAh (2.59Wh) as specified in the product data.
- Far East / S-00149 / S100 platform fit: These three Logitech speaker models share the same internal battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V nominal voltage rail. The BMS in each unit is tuned to the same charge termination voltage, so a single cell revision covers all three without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the S100 platform. The onboard BMS accepted the cell, terminated charge correctly at 4.2V, and the speaker's charge indicator responded as expected with no fault codes thrown.
- Fuel gauge reset after swap: After fitting this cell, run the speaker until the low-battery indicator activates — then charge it fully without interruption. Skipping this step leaves the fuel gauge calibrated to the old, degraded cell, causing the battery indicator to read inaccurately from the first use.
Capacity fade from constant desk-top charging on the S100
The S100 and related models are commonly left plugged in on a desk, topping off continuously at 4.2V. Holding a Li-Polymer cell at full charge under ambient heat from the amplifier accelerates electrolyte oxidation and causes measurable capacity loss within months. The BMS cannot prevent this — it only controls charge termination, not prolonged float storage. If the speaker stays on a desk, unplug it once the charge indicator reads full rather than leaving it tethered overnight.
Audio distorting before the battery indicator reaches empty
This happens when a degraded cell's internal resistance has risen enough that the amplifier's current draw pulls the cell voltage below the audio circuit's stable operating threshold — even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. The amplifier clips under the sag rather than cutting out cleanly, producing distortion. A fresh 700mAh cell restores headroom so the voltage rail holds steady under load. If distortion returns on a new cell within weeks, check that the speaker is not sitting in an enclosed space — amplifier heat accelerates the same internal resistance rise.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Logitech S100 charged overnight but the audio cuts in and out after about an hour of play — what's causing it?
This points to fuel gauge drift, not a wiring fault. After years of shallow top-off charging, the BMS loses track of true remaining capacity and reports "full" when the cell can no longer sustain the amplifier's current draw beyond a short window. A replacement 700mAh cell alone won't fix it unless you recalibrate — run the speaker until the low-battery alert triggers, then charge it to 100% in a single uninterrupted session before using it again.
The speaker gets noticeably warm in its fabric housing during extended play — is that a battery problem or an amplifier problem?
Both are contributing. The amplifier generates heat under sustained output, and the Li-Polymer cell adds its own discharge heat inside an enclosed fabric shell. On a degraded cell, higher internal resistance means more heat per milliamp delivered. If the speaker is warmer than before you replaced the battery, check that the replacement cell's connector is fully seated — a partial connection increases contact resistance and adds to the thermal load. A properly seated 3.7V cell should run cool to the touch at moderate volume.
After fully discharging the speaker, it won't wake up when I plug in USB — the charge indicator doesn't light at all.
When a Li-Polymer cell drops below roughly 2.5V from a deep discharge, the BMS locks out charging as a safety measure — the USB port sees no load and the indicator stays dark. Some Logitech BMS units will recover if you hold the USB cable connected for 10–15 minutes at low current; the BMS trickle-charges the cell back above its acceptance threshold before switching to normal charge rate. If the indicator still doesn't respond after 20 minutes, the original cell is likely below recovery voltage and needs replacement with a fresh 700mAh (533-000107) cell.
