Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Metabo BS 14.4 LTX Impuls — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (6.25467)
This 14.4V 3000mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack on the Metabo BS 14.4 LTX Impuls cordless drill-driver and fits additional 14.4V Metabo platforms including the ULA 14.4-18 and BS 14.4 6.02105.50/51 variants. It matches OEM part numbers 6.25467, 625498000, 625526000, C98116, and 6.25454. Capacity is 3000mAh at 14.4V nominal, 43.2Wh total.
- Cross-model 14.4V platform fit: The BS 14.4 LTX Impuls, ULA 14.4-18, and related BS 14.4 variants share the same 14.4V rail voltage, slide-in connector geometry, and BMS communication protocol — which is why a single pack covers the range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated load pulls on a BS 14.4 LTX Impuls body. The BMS held stable through trigger-pull inrush spikes and did not trip overcurrent protection under normal fastening cycles. Cell voltage balance across the pack stayed within 30mV at full discharge.
- Break-in procedure for LTX drill packs: On first use, run the drill at half load for two full cycles before maximum torque applications. This lets the BMS log real inrush current from the LTX motor and set accurate overcurrent thresholds — skipping this can cause nuisance BMS trips on hard fastening tasks.
BMS cutoff on trigger-pull inrush with the BS 14.4 LTX motor
The LTX Impuls motor draws a short inrush spike the instant the trigger is pulled — often 3–5x the steady running current. A new pack with a freshly reset BMS has no inrush history logged, so the overcurrent threshold may sit lower than the actual spike requires. This causes the pack to cut out immediately on trigger pull even though nothing is mechanically wrong. Running two break-in cycles at reduced load gives the BMS enough data to raise the trip threshold to match the motor's actual start current. After break-in, full-torque trigger pulls should hold without cutoff.
Charger not recognising the pack after storage
Li-ion cells left in storage for several months can drop below the charger's acceptance threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell. The Metabo charger sees a voltage below its wake-up window and refuses to begin a charge cycle, often showing a fault blink. The fix is a trickle or recovery charge: if your charger has a recovery mode, activate it; if not, a compatible Li-ion recovery charger can bring cell voltage back above 2.8V per cell. Once individual cells read above 2.8V, a standard charger will recognise the pack and resume normal charging.

Frequently Asked Questions
My BS 14.4 LTX Impuls cuts out the instant I pull the trigger — is the battery dead?
Not necessarily. A new pack with no inrush history can trip its own overcurrent protection on the motor's start spike before BMS thresholds are calibrated. Run the drill at half load — light drilling, no hard fastening — for two full discharge-charge cycles. After that, the BMS has enough logged data to tolerate the full trigger-pull spike, and nuisance cutouts stop. If it still cuts out after break-in, check that the slide-in connector is fully seated and contact resistance is below 10mΩ.
The tool bogs down and loses torque mid-screw even with a fully charged battery — what's happening?
That's voltage sag — the cell pack can't sustain the rail voltage under heavy load, so the motor slows. It usually means contact resistance has built up on the battery terminals or the tool's rail contacts, or the cells have begun to age and internal resistance has risen. Clean both the pack terminals and tool contacts with isopropyl alcohol, let them dry, then check open-circuit voltage at rest: a healthy 14.4V pack should read between 16.2V and 16.8V fully charged. If voltage drops below 13V under moderate drill load, cell resistance is elevated and capacity is degrading.
The drill runs noticeably weaker in cold weather — is something wrong with this battery?
Nothing is wrong — Li-ion internal resistance rises sharply below 5°C, which reduces current delivery and causes the motor to feel sluggish. Store the pack indoors at room temperature before heading out to a cold job site, and keep it in a pocket or insulated bag between uses rather than leaving it on the tool. A pack warmed to 15–20°C will deliver measurably stronger torque than one at 0°C. Once the cells warm up during use, performance returns to normal without any intervention.
