Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Miele SLQL0 / RX1 / RX2 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (9702922)
This is a 14.4V 2600mAh lithium-ion battery for the Miele SLQL0, RX1-SJQL0, RX2-SLQL0, and Scout RX1 cordless vacuum cleaners. OEM part numbers 9702922, 9702925, and 9702920 all cross-reference to this cell configuration. Capacity is rated at 37.44Wh — matching the original pack specification.
- SLQL0 and Scout RX1 platform fit: These models share a 14.4V power rail, the same physical connector, and an identical BMS handshake protocol. A single cell configuration covers all variants in the Scout RX series because Miele kept the battery architecture consistent across that platform generation.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on an RX1 unit. The BMS correctly reported state of charge to the vacuum's indicator, accepted a full charge without tripping the charger, and cut off cleanly at the low-voltage threshold — no forced shutdowns at partial charge.
- Dock charging habit on the Scout RX series: The Scout RX models are often left on the wall dock between uses. Continuous trickle current from the dock degrades cell capacity faster than normal cycling. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock until the next use.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the SLQL0
The SLQL0 motor draws higher current when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder, pulling more amps than the BMS expects under normal load. When current spikes beyond the pack's rated discharge rate, the BMS reduces output voltage to protect the cells. The vacuum reads this as a power drop, not a low-battery event, so the indicator stays green while suction falls noticeably. Clean or replace the filter first; if suction recovers immediately, the battery is not the cause.
Motor cuts out mid-use then restarts after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a faulty motor. Under sustained restricted airflow — carpet pile, blocked brush roll, or a clogged pre-filter — current draw spikes hard and the BMS trips the output circuit to protect the cells. The pack resets after a brief thermal and voltage recovery, which is why the vacuum restarts after 30–60 seconds. Clear the blockage, confirm the filter is clean, then restart; if the trip stops occurring, the pack is functioning correctly and the restriction was the root cause.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Miele Scout RX1 battery fades fast even though I always keep it on the charging dock — is the new battery going to have the same problem?
Continuous dock charging is the cause. The Scout RX dock maintains a trickle charge once the pack is full, and sustained low-level current degrades lithium-ion cells significantly faster than regular charge-and-discharge cycles. The replacement pack will behave the same way if left on the dock permanently. Charge to full, remove it from the dock, and only redock when the battery needs charging again.
The SLQL0 suction drops noticeably partway through a clean but the battery indicator is still showing full — what's happening?
A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than the BMS allows at steady state, so the BMS throttles output voltage before the cell charge level actually drops. The indicator reflects cell charge, not motor load, so it stays high while suction falls. Remove and clean or replace the filter, then test again — if suction holds across a full clean, the battery is not at fault. If suction still drops after a clean filter, check the brush roll for hair wrap restricting airflow.
The vacuum won't charge at all with the replacement battery installed — charger light stays off or flashes immediately.
The Miele charger performs a BMS handshake before beginning the charge cycle; if the pack voltage has dropped below approximately 10V from deep discharge, the charger will not initiate. Connect the pack and leave the vacuum on the charger undisturbed for 20–30 minutes — some chargers will attempt a recovery trickle at low voltage before switching to full charge mode. If the charge light activates after that period, the pack is recovering normally. If there is still no response after 30 minutes, measure pack voltage at the terminals; a reading below 9V indicates the cells are below recoverable threshold.
