This is a 14.52V Li-ion battery rated at 6800mAh (98.74Wh), built to fit the Miele Scout RX2 120 and Scout RX3 120 robotic vacuum cleaners. It replaces part number YCR-MT12 when the original cell degrades and the unit can no longer complete a full cleaning cycle. The battery powers the drive motors, suction motor, and onboard navigation sensors.

The battery indicator stays green because cell voltage hasn't actually dropped — it's the sustained overcurrent condition triggering the protection circuit. Clean the filter and check the inlet before replacing the battery.

Motor cuts out mid-cycle then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failed battery. When the Scout hits a sustained restriction — thick carpet, a tangled brush roll, or a blocked exhaust — current spikes sharply and the BMS disconnects the output to protect the cells. After the cells recover to above roughly 13.0V under no load, the BMS reconnects and the unit resumes. Clear the brush roll and check that the exhaust grille is unobstructed. If trips continue on open floor with a clean filter, the cell pack itself may be faulted and replacement is the correct fix.
