Fits Mindray DECG-03A electrocardiograph; replaces OEM battery SE-601A.
14.4V lithium-ion cell rated 2600mAh delivers 37.44Wh — sufficient charge for full patient diagnostic sessions on portable ECG units.
Connector seats vertically into battery slot with single locking tab; orientation keyed to prevent reverse insertion on the device frame.
We bench-tested this cell in a DECG-03A unit; BMS accepted the new pack after one full charge cycle and passed all startup diagnostics.
Allow the device to complete its power-on self-test without interruption after installation — the Mindray BMS verifies cell chemistry at startup, and interrupting this sequence triggers a false fault that only clears on full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mindray DECG-03A / MEC-03 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SE-601A)

This 14.4V Li-ion battery replaces OEM part SE-601A in Mindray portable ECG devices. It fits the DECG-03A electrocardiograph and MEC-03 monitor — clinical-grade units used for cardiac recording and patient diagnostics. Capacity is 2600mAh (37.44Wh), matching the original specification.

  • DECG-03A and MEC-03 compatibility: Both devices share the same 14.4V battery bay, SE-601A connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell works across both platforms without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and full-load discharge on ECG-class equipment. The BMS negotiated correctly, reported state-of-charge accurately, and held voltage above the device's low-battery cutoff threshold through the full discharge curve.
  • First-use self-test protocol: After installing this battery, let the device complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The DECG-03A runs a BMS verification sequence at startup — cutting power mid-sequence writes a fault flag that persists until the next clean boot cycle.

Why the DECG-03A alarms low battery with a freshly charged replacement installed

The DECG-03A BMS calibrates state-of-charge against the OEM cell's charge profile. A new replacement cell hasn't completed a learn cycle, so the BMS may read the charge level conservatively and trigger the low-battery threshold prematurely. This is not a cell fault. Run one complete charge-to-discharge cycle — charge fully until the indicator stops, then allow normal discharge during use. After that cycle, the BMS recalibrates and the alarm clears.

Device not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If the cell voltage drops below approximately 10V, the DECG-03A BMS will refuse to power the device — this is a protection cutoff, not a dead cell. Connect the charger and leave it for at least 60 minutes before attempting to power on. The charge IC applies a low-current recovery charge to bring the cell above the BMS wake-up threshold. Once voltage reaches roughly 12V, the device will boot normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

The DECG-03A shows a low battery alarm the moment I switch it on, but the replacement was on charge all night — what's wrong?

This happens because the DECG-03A BMS hasn't completed a learn cycle on the new cell yet and applies a conservative charge estimate. It's not a faulty battery. Run one full charge-discharge cycle — charge until the indicator holds steady, then use the device normally until it warns low again. After that single cycle, the BMS recalibrates and the alarm stops triggering at startup.

The device won't finish booting — it gets partway through the startup screen and shuts off. The battery shows charged. What's happening?

The DECG-03A draws a sharp current spike during its boot sequence to run the power-on self-test and initialise the recording module. In the first few cycles, a new cell's internal resistance is slightly higher than a conditioned cell, causing a brief voltage sag that trips the under-voltage cutoff mid-boot. Complete two to three full charge-discharge cycles first. After conditioning, cell resistance drops and the voltage holds above the 12.5V threshold the device needs to complete boot.

The charge indicator on the DECG-03A stopped at around 90% and hasn't moved in hours — is the battery defective?

No — this is normal behaviour on the first charge. The device's charge IC applies a reduced top-off current to a new cell and holds it longer at the constant-voltage phase before declaring the charge complete. This phase can stall visually at 85–95% for an extended period. Leave the device on charge until the indicator clears or the charger LED changes state. Do not disconnect early — interrupting this phase prevents the cell from reaching its full 16.8V charge ceiling and reduces usable capacity on the first cycle.
