Moulinex MS6543 / MS6545 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 14.4V 3500mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original cell pack in the Moulinex MS6543, MS6543WH/BA0, MS6545, and MS6545WI/BA0 cordless stick vacuums. It matches the original voltage rail and connector format. Capacity is 3500mAh (50.4Wh).

• MS6543 and MS6545 platform: Both models run the same 14.4V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. Swapping between variants requires no adapter or wiring change.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell pack through full charge and discharge cycles on the MS6545 motor platform. The BMS held communication with the charger without interruption and cutoff triggered correctly at low-cell threshold — no false trips under normal suction load.
• Dock charging habit on the MS6543/MS6545: Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock permanently. Continuous dock charging on these models causes capacity fade faster than intermittent use. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock until the next use.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The MS6543 and MS6545 motors draw more current when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder, pulling the cell voltage down faster than the indicator reflects. The indicator reads state of charge, not voltage under load, so the display still shows green while the motor is already voltage-sagging. The result is a noticeable drop in suction well before any low-battery warning appears. Clean or replace the filter and recheck suction before assuming the battery is at fault.

Motor cuts out mid-use then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is sustained against a blockage or heavily loaded carpet, current draw spikes past the BMS threshold and the pack shuts the motor off to protect the cells. After a brief rest the BMS resets and the vacuum starts again normally. Clear any blockage in the nozzle, hose, or filter before resuming use. If the trip repeats on clean floors with a fresh filter, verify the replacement cell pack voltage reads at least 14.4V on a multimeter before reinstalling.
