OBH Nordica EO654 / EO6545NO/BA0 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V 3500mAh Li-ion battery pack for the OBH Nordica EO654 and EO6545NO/BA0 cordless handheld vacuum cleaners. It replaces the original rechargeable cell when capacity has faded and cleaning sessions have shortened noticeably. Voltage and connector format match the original pack exactly.

• EO654 and EO6545NO/BA0 compatibility: Both models run the same 14.4V power rail and share an identical battery housing format and connector orientation, so one cell fits both without modification.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the vacuum's motor start load and sustained suction draw. The BMS held stable under normal carpet resistance and tripped correctly when we simulated a blocked filter — no false shutdowns on a clear airway.
• Dock charging discipline for the EO654: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. The EO654's charging circuit does not cut trickle current reliably once the pack is full, and prolonged dock connection degrades cell capacity measurably over weeks. Charge to full, then remove it.

Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor has to work harder than rated — most often because the filter is partially blocked. A restricted airway makes the motor pull more current, which causes voltage to sag at the cell even when stored charge still reads as adequate. The BMS interprets that sag as a low-cell event and pulls back power to protect the pack. Clean or replace the filter first; if suction recovers, the battery is not the issue.

Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is blocked — by a full dust cup, a clogged filter, or a carpet fibre wedged at the nozzle — the motor draws a sustained current spike that exceeds the BMS threshold. The protection circuit cuts output, then resets once temperature and current drop. Clear the blockage, empty the dust cup, and check the filter. If the motor cuts out again on an unobstructed surface, measure resting pack voltage — it should sit above 14.0V after a full charge cycle.
