Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Navman N60i Navpix — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (E4MT081202B12)
This 3.7V 1200mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM cell in the Navman N60i Navpix portable GPS navigator. It fits the N60i Navpix directly, matching the original connector, dimensions (51.02 x 36.46 x 6.38mm), and BMS voltage thresholds. Capacity is 1200mAh (4.44Wh), matching the factory specification.
- N60i Navpix platform fit: The N60i Navpix uses a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion pack with a low-current draw profile typical of portable GPS units — the GPS receiver, display backlight, and map processor all run from this one cell. The BMS on this replacement manages the same charge and cutoff thresholds the device expects.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the N60i Navpix platform. The BMS handshake completed correctly, charge acceptance was normal, and the device reported battery status without fault flags across multiple cycles.
- Cold-start behaviour after fitting: After fitting this battery, power the device on outdoors before driving. The N60i Navpix performs a GPS cold start after any full power interruption — first satellite acquisition can take 5–10 minutes. Subsequent warm starts drop back under a minute once the almanac is cached.
Active navigation draining the N60i Navpix battery faster than expected
The N60i Navpix runs the GPS receiver, map rendering, and backlit display simultaneously during active turn-by-turn navigation. That combined draw is significantly higher than standby or map-browsing mode. Display brightness is the single largest variable — full brightness during daytime navigation can cut total operating time noticeably compared to mid-brightness settings. Reducing backlight to the lowest comfortable level is the most direct way to extend use between charges.
N60i Navpix shutting off without a low-battery warning
After fitting a new cell, the fuel gauge calibration stored in the device may not match the new battery's actual discharge curve. The unit tracks voltage against an internal table — if that table is off, the low-battery indicator may not trigger before the BMS hits its cutoff voltage and shuts the device down. To recalibrate, run the battery down until the device shuts off, then charge it uninterrupted to 100%. One full cycle is usually enough to realign the indicator. The BMS cutoff on this cell is set at 3.0V per cell.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Navman N60i Navpix lost all my saved routes after I swapped the battery — is that normal?
Yes, and it's a known consequence of full power removal. The N60i Navpix stores user routes and some POI data in RAM that relies on the battery for retention — when the cell goes flat or is physically removed, that memory clears. Saved favourites stored to internal flash are usually retained, but active routes and recent destinations are typically lost. Re-enter your key destinations after the swap and save them to the device's favourites list to avoid losing them again.
Satellite lock is taking over five minutes on my N60i Navpix after fitting the new battery — what's happening?
This is a cold start, not a fault with the battery. When the N60i Navpix loses power completely, it discards its cached almanac and ephemeris data — the satellite position tables the GPS receiver uses to lock quickly. Without that cache, the unit has to rebuild it from scratch by scanning the sky, which takes 5–10 minutes on first fix outdoors. Subsequent power cycles warm-start in under a minute once the almanac is cached. Leave the device stationary outdoors with a clear sky view for the first fix after the battery swap.
My N60i Navpix GPS accuracy seems worse when the battery is nearly empty — is the receiver being throttled?
Some GPS units reduce receiver sensitivity or drop to a lower update rate at low voltage to manage power draw. On the N60i Navpix, GPS position accuracy and track smoothness can degrade when the cell voltage drops toward the BMS cutoff threshold near 3.0V. The fix is to charge before the indicator hits critical — don't rely on the last 10–15% of charge for navigation where accuracy matters. A full charge restores full receiver performance immediately on next use.
