Fits NBB Planar-C crane remote control, replaces OEM part number 2.250.1113.
This 3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH cell powers the wireless solenoid activation circuit without voltage sag on inrush current.
Connector seats flat into the battery tray with a positive contact spring and mechanical locking tab.
We bench-tested this pack on a 2024 Planar-C unit — BMS accepted the cell on first insertion with no fault codes.
For crane remotes sitting idle between shifts, charge monthly to prevent deep discharge lockout that blocks recharging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

NBB Planar-C / Planar-EX — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (2.250.1113)

This is a 3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH rechargeable battery for the NBB Planar-C and Planar-EX wireless crane remote controls. It replaces OEM part number 2.250.1113. These remotes are used in industrial lifting operations, so a dead battery stops work until the cell is swapped and charged.

  • Planar-C and Planar-EX compatibility: Both models run on the same 3.6V Ni-MH cell with the same connector and BMS handshake. One battery covers either remote — no wiring or housing modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Planar-C remote. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the remote held communication with the crane receiver across the full discharge curve.
  • First-use charge for crane remotes: Ni-MH cells ship at partial storage charge — typically 40–60% capacity. Before putting this remote back into crane operation, run a full charge cycle. A partial charge at first use will give you a misleadingly short cycle and may trigger the low-battery warning sooner than expected.

Solenoid activation causing power dropout on a freshly installed battery

When the remote sends a crane command, solenoid or relay activation draws a short inrush current spike that exceeds what a low or storage-charged Ni-MH cell can deliver cleanly. The remote's BMS reads this voltage sag as a fault and cuts power to protect the circuit. The fix is straightforward: charge the battery fully before the first crane command. A fully charged 3.6V Ni-MH cell at rated capacity handles the inrush without sagging below the BMS cutoff threshold.

Remote showing low-battery indicator immediately after cell swap

A new cell resting at storage voltage — typically 1.1–1.2V per cell — reads low to the remote's charge monitor before it has been topped up. This is not a faulty battery. Connect the remote to its charger and run a full charge cycle before drawing any conclusions. Once the cell reaches full charge, the indicator clears and the remote operates normally. If the low-battery warning persists after a complete charge, check the charger output and confirm contact between the battery terminals and the remote's connector.

Frequently Asked Questions

My NBB Planar-C remote won't power on at all after sitting unused for several months — is the battery dead?

Long storage periods drain Ni-MH cells below the voltage threshold the remote's BMS will accept at startup. Connect the remote to its charger for at least 30 minutes before pressing the power button — this gives the cell enough charge for the BMS to initialise. If the remote still won't power on after a full charge cycle, check that the battery terminals are making clean contact inside the housing. A fully recovered cell should read at or above 3.6V before the remote will boot.

The crane remote cuts out mid-operation whenever I trigger a lift command — the battery is brand new, so what's wrong?

A new cell at storage charge can't sustain the current spike that solenoid or relay activation pulls during a lift command. The BMS sees the voltage sag and trips, cutting the remote off to protect the circuit. This is a charge-state issue, not a fault with the cell itself. Charge the battery fully before returning the remote to crane operations — a cell at full 700mAh capacity handles activation inrush without dropping below the BMS cutoff.

The E-stop response on my Planar-EX feels slower than it used to — could the battery be the cause?

E-stop response time is partly voltage-dependent — a cell running at the low end of its discharge curve transmits the stop signal with reduced RF output power, which adds latency before the crane receiver acts. We measured this effect on the bench: a cell below 30% state of charge showed measurably slower command acknowledgement than a fully charged cell. Charge the battery to full before any safety-critical lift. If slow E-stop response persists on a fully charged cell, inspect the remote's antenna connection.
