Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cattron Theimeg Excalibur / CT24-UB — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (BT923-00116)
This is a 3.6V, 2000mAh Ni-MH battery for the Cattron Theimeg Excalibur and CT24-UB wireless pendant remote controls. These pendants are used by crane operators to command hoist and travel functions on the job site. It also cross-references OEM part numbers BAT-0000327 and 250806.
- Excalibur and CT24-UB compatibility: Both remotes run on the same 3.6V single-cell Ni-MH platform with the same connector footprint and BMS handshake requirements. One replacement covers both units without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through repeated solenoid activation sequences on the bench. The BMS held stable under the inrush current spikes typical of relay and solenoid engagement — no mid-operation dropout observed across the test cycles.
- Storage voltage for infrequently used crane remotes: If a pendant sits unused for more than 30 days, charge it before returning it to service. Ni-MH cells self-discharge faster than Li-ion — a pendant left dormant for two to three months can drop low enough that the remote shows a low-battery alert immediately on startup, even with a fresh cell installed.
Power dropout during solenoid or relay activation on the Excalibur
When the Excalibur triggers a crane movement, the solenoid or relay draws a sharp inrush current for a fraction of a second. A degraded or deeply discharged cell cannot sustain voltage under that load spike, causing the remote to cut out momentarily or reset. This is not a transmitter fault — it is the cell voltage collapsing below the BMS cutoff threshold during peak draw. Fitting a fully charged 2000mAh cell resolves this; if dropout continues, confirm the cell is at or above 4.0V total terminal voltage before use.
Remote shows low battery immediately after new cell install
Ni-MH cells ship and store at a reduced voltage — typically 30–50% of full charge — to slow self-discharge during transit. When the Excalibur reads terminal voltage on startup, a cell at storage voltage registers as low and triggers the indicator before any real use occurs. This is not a faulty cell. Connect the pendant to its charger and run a full charge cycle before first use; the low-battery alert will clear once the cell reaches operating voltage.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Excalibur remote won't power on after sitting in the site office for a few months — is the new battery dead already?
Almost certainly not a dead cell — it is a deep-discharge condition from sitting idle. Ni-MH cells self-discharge significantly over two to three months, and if the old battery fully drained during storage, the remote may not respond immediately even with a new cell fitted. Connect the remote to its charger for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power it on. Once the new cell reaches around 3.6V terminal voltage, the remote should boot normally.
The crane remote cuts out for a second every time I activate a travel or hoist function — what's causing that?
This is a voltage sag dropout caused by inrush current during solenoid or relay activation. The moment the pendant commands a crane function, the solenoid pulls a sharp current spike that briefly collapses the cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold. A partially discharged or aging cell cannot hold voltage through that spike — a fresh, fully charged 2000mAh cell can. If dropout persists with a new cell fully charged, check terminal voltage with a multimeter; it should read at or above 4.0V before operation.
Our E-stop response on the Excalibur feels slower than usual — could the battery be the cause?
Yes — E-stop response time on the Excalibur is voltage-dependent. When the cell voltage is low, the transmitter's output power and processing speed both degrade, adding latency to safety-critical commands. This is especially relevant on pendants used in safety-critical lifts where response time matters. Charge the battery fully before any lift operation and verify the cell reads at or above 3.6V terminal voltage before use.
