Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Neabot NoMo Q11 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C433-A3-4S2P)
This is a 14.4V 5200mAh (74.88Wh) lithium-ion replacement battery for the Neabot NoMo Q11 cordless stick vacuum. It fits the Q11 motor and charging circuit directly, using OEM part references C433-A3-4S2P and C1048A2. When the original cell pack degrades and suction drops noticeably earlier in each cleaning session, this is the swap that restores full motor power.
- NoMo Q11 motor rail compatibility: The Q11 runs a brushless motor on a 14.4V nominal rail. The 4S2P cell configuration matches the original pack's voltage curve and connector pinout, so the vacuum's power management circuit reads state-of-charge correctly from the first cycle.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the Q11's BMS under both open-floor and carpet-load conditions. The BMS negotiated charge termination cleanly and did not throw a protection fault during sustained high-suction draws.
- Dock charging behaviour on the Q11: Do not leave the Q11 sitting on its charging dock indefinitely. The dock supplies a trickle current after the pack reaches full charge, and continuous exposure accelerates cell capacity fade. Charge to full and remove the vacuum from the dock until the next use.
Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens because the Q11's motor draws harder when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter forces it above its rated current. The BMS detects the voltage sag under that elevated draw and reduces output before the indicator registers low. The battery is not necessarily weak; the motor is working against a restriction. Clean or replace the filter first, then test suction. If suction still drops early with a clean filter and a fresh charge, check resting pack voltage — it should read at or above 16.0V off the charger.
Motor cuts out mid-session and then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the Q11 picks up a dense pile or runs against a blocked intake, current spikes past the BMS protection threshold and the pack disconnects to protect the cells. After 15–30 seconds the BMS resets and power returns. Clear the blockage, check that the filter is seated correctly, and resume. If trips continue on an unobstructed floor with a clean filter, measure pack voltage under load — a reading that drops below 12.0V under normal suction indicates a cell imbalance worth addressing.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Neabot NoMo Q11 is getting noticeably less cleaning done per charge than it used to — is the battery the problem or something else?
A partially blocked filter is the first thing to rule out — restricted airflow makes the motor draw more current than rated, which shortens each charge cycle before the BMS pulls back power. Clean the filter completely and run a full charge-discharge cycle. If the usable charge per session is still significantly shorter than when the vacuum was new, the original cell pack has likely experienced capacity fade, which is normal after repeated charge cycles. Check resting voltage off the charger — a healthy 14.4V pack should read at or above 16.0V; anything below 15.5V at rest points to cell degradation.
The Q11 won't start charging after I installed the replacement battery — the charger light just stays solid or does nothing.
The Q11 charger expects a BMS handshake before it begins a charge cycle. If the replacement pack's BMS shipped in a deep-discharge protection state — which can happen during storage — the charger may not recognise it as a valid load. Connect the vacuum to the charger and leave it undisturbed for 10–15 minutes; some BMS circuits need a small recovery trickle before they open the charge path. If the charger still shows no activity, measure the pack's bare voltage at the contacts — a reading below 10V means the cells need a manual pre-charge recovery step, or the pack has been stored too long in a discharged state.
My Q11's suction is fine when I start cleaning but drops sharply within the first few minutes on carpet — is this a battery fade issue or a motor issue?
Carpet cleaning pulls significantly more current than hard floor, so a pack with early-stage cell imbalance will sag under that sustained load while appearing normal on short bursts. The BMS detects the voltage drop on the weakest cell in the series chain and throttles output to prevent over-discharge — you feel this as a sudden suction drop rather than a gradual fade. This is distinct from a filter blockage, which causes the drop from the very first pass. To confirm it's cell-related, fully charge the pack and measure voltage immediately before use — if it reads below 16.0V off a full charge, the cells are no longer holding capacity at rated spec and replacement is the correct fix.
