Fits Nintendo Switch Lite models HDH-001 and HDH-002; replaces OEM part HDH-A-BPHAT-C0.
3.8V, 3200mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers the original capacity for standard portable play sessions.
Connector seats flush into the battery slot with a single locking tab on the left edge.
We bench-tested this cell in HDH-002 hardware; the BMS accepted charge at full rate on cycle one.
After installation, run one complete wireless play session to automatic shutdown before recharging—the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the first full discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Nintendo Switch Lite — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HDH-A-BPHAT-C0)

This 3.8V, 3200mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original cell in the Nintendo Switch Lite handheld console. It fits HDH-001, HDH-002, and HDH-003 hardware revisions. Install it when the original battery no longer holds an adequate charge or shuts down unexpectedly under load.

  • Switch Lite HDH series compatibility: All HDH hardware revisions share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The fuel gauge IC reads cell chemistry directly, so swapping to a matching 3.8V Li-Polymer cell requires no firmware change.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the Switch Lite charge IC and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell, reported state-of-charge correctly, and triggered the protection cutoff at the expected low-voltage threshold without false trips.
  • First-cycle fuel gauge calibration: After installing, run one complete play session to automatic low-battery cutoff before recharging. The Switch Lite fuel gauge IC sets its empty reference point against the first full discharge cycle — skipping this step causes the battery indicator to jump or read inaccurately for weeks.

Why the Switch Lite fuel gauge jumps after a battery swap

The Switch Lite uses a coulomb-counting fuel gauge IC that tracks charge in and out relative to a stored discharge curve. When you install a new cell, the IC still references the old curve from the degraded battery. The percentage readout drifts or jumps until the IC maps a full discharge cycle against the new cell's actual capacity. Running three to five full charge-discharge cycles resets the learned curve and stabilises the indicator.

Console charging slower than expected after cell replacement

The Switch Lite charge IC applies a reduced current on the first charge cycle when it detects a cell it has not previously profiled — this is a protection behaviour, not a fault. The console may show a slower fill rate and a longer time to reach 100% on that first charge. The charge IC lifts the conservative limit automatically after the first complete cycle. If slow charging persists beyond cycle two, check that the battery connector is fully seated and the ribbon cable is not pinched.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Switch Lite battery percentage keeps jumping around after I put this new battery in — is something wrong with the cell?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The Switch Lite fuel gauge IC calibrates against the first full discharge of whatever cell is installed, and until that cycle runs, the percentage readout drifts or jumps as the IC tries to reconcile the new cell's discharge curve against old stored data. Run one complete play session to automatic low-battery cutoff, then charge to 100% without interruption. After three to five cycles the indicator stabilises.

My Switch Lite is cutting off before the battery indicator even hits the red — why is it shutting down mid-game?

This is a low-voltage protection trip, not a faulty cell. Under sustained gaming load — especially GPU-intensive titles with wireless on — the cell voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold before the fuel gauge catches up and shows a low percentage. The fuel gauge reads average voltage while the BMS reacts to instantaneous sag. After a few conditioning cycles the cell's internal resistance drops and the voltage sag under load reduces. If shutdowns persist after five cycles, check that the battery connector ribbon is fully seated — a loose connection increases effective resistance and amplifies sag.

The Switch Lite plays for noticeably less time than I expected from a new battery — is the capacity actually 3200mAh?

A new Li-Polymer cell does not deliver its full rated capacity until it has been through three to five charge-discharge cycles. The electrolyte needs time to wet the electrode surfaces fully, and the charge IC applies conservative limits on early cycles. Rated capacity at 3200mAh is the stabilised figure measured after conditioning. Run at least three complete discharge-recharge cycles before comparing against the original battery's play time.
