Fits Nokia 6305 and 6305i models; replaces OEM part number BL-6000C.
This 3.7V, 900mAh lithium-ion cell restores full capacity to the 6305's calling, messaging, and standby runtime.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab at the base; no adapter needed.
We bench-tested this cell on a 6305 bench unit — BMS accepted charge without fault codes, voltage held steady at 4.2V peak.
On first installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle before heavy use; the fuel gauge IC needs to recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve to prevent false low-battery shutdowns.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Nokia 6305 / 6305i — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BL-6000C)

This is a 3.7V, 900mAh Li-ion cell built to the BL-6000C specification. It fits the Nokia 6305 and 6305i candybar-style mobile phones. Voltage and connector match the original Nokia BL-6000C exactly.

  • 6305 and 6305i compatibility: Both handsets share the same battery bay dimensions, contact pitch, and 3.7V single-cell architecture. One cell fits both — no adapter or modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on a 6305 body. The BMS accepted charge from the Nokia wall adapter without error, held voltage above 3.5V through a sustained call load, and tripped protection at the expected low-voltage cutoff.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after installation: On first use, run the phone down until it shuts off automatically, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The fuel gauge IC on the 6305 is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — one full cycle resets the reference points and stops erratic percentage readings.

Why the Nokia 6305 shuts down suddenly at 20–30% battery remaining

The 6305's voltage regulation circuit monitors cell voltage directly. When an aged or mismatched cell cannot sustain voltage under the load spike of an outgoing call or backlight pulse, the phone interprets the drop as a fault and cuts power — even if the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. A new cell with lower internal resistance holds voltage through those load spikes. After one full discharge-charge cycle, the fuel gauge IC recalibrates its cutoff reference to the new cell's actual voltage curve, and the phantom shutdowns stop.

Phone won't power on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the BL-6000C cell dropped below approximately 2.5V before installation, the BMS locks out to prevent cell damage — and the phone simply won't respond. Connect the phone to the Nokia wall charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button. The charger feeds a trickle current that raises cell voltage back above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once the phone shows the charging indicator, a normal charge cycle can begin.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Nokia 6305 shows 30% battery and then just dies — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the 6305 is still using the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell as its reference. When the new cell's voltage doesn't drop at the same rate the IC expects, it misreads remaining capacity and triggers shutdown early. Run one complete cycle — drain until the phone powers itself off, then charge to 100% without interruption — and the IC rewrites its reference curve to match the new cell.

The battery percentage on my Nokia 6305 is jumping around and won't settle — what's causing that?

This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating after a cell swap. The coulomb counter inside the 6305 accumulated charge and discharge data from the original cell over its entire lifespan. A new cell with different impedance and a fresh discharge curve makes those numbers inconsistent until the IC re-learns the endpoints. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles — letting the phone shut off naturally each time before recharging — and the percentage display will stabilise.

My Nokia 6305 won't turn on at all after I installed the replacement battery — the screen stays blank even when I press the power button.

If the BL-6000C cell discharged below the BMS lockout threshold during shipping or storage, the protection circuit blocks all output to prevent cell damage. The phone cannot boot from a locked-out cell. Plug into the original Nokia wall adapter and wait 15 minutes without touching the power button — the charger's trickle current will push the cell voltage above the re-enable threshold, typically around 2.9V. Once the charging screen appears, let it complete a full charge before booting the phone normally.
