Replaces Nokia BV-T3G battery for Lumia 650 and RM-1154 smartphones.
3.8V nominal, 2000mAh capacity delivers standard daily use cycles on this mid-range Windows Phone.
Connector slides into the original slot with standard push-fit orientation; no locking tab required.
We ran charge cycles on a fresh Lumia 650 unit; BMS accepted full 3.8V threshold without early cutoff.
On first installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle with standard charger before resuming normal use — the fuel gauge IC needs to recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Nokia Lumia 650 / RM-1154 — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BV-T3G)

This is a 3.8V, 2000mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the Nokia Lumia 650 (RM-1154) smartphone. It slots in where the original BV-T3G sits and restores normal operation when the factory cell no longer holds a usable charge. Voltage and physical dimensions match the original: 95.60 × 43.20 × 4.00mm.

  • Lumia 650 / RM-1154 fitment: Both model references share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers both variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Lumia 650 platform. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake cleanly and thermal cutoff thresholds held within spec across repeated cycles.
  • First-cycle fuel gauge recalibration: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Lumia 650 after a cell swap

The Lumia 650's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve from the old degraded cell. When the new cell hits a section of the curve the IC hasn't mapped yet, the system reads voltage incorrectly and triggers an early shutdown — even though the cell still has capacity. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. One complete uninterrupted discharge-charge cycle forces the coulomb counter to rebuild its model against the new cell's actual curve. After that cycle, the reported percentage tracks accurately and shutdowns at low-SOC stop.

Device not powering on after the BV-T3G sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If a replacement BV-T3G has been stored long enough, cell voltage can drop below 2.5V — the threshold at which the BMS locks out to prevent damage. The phone will show no response: no boot, no charging indicator. Connect to a wall charger rather than a PC USB port, which may not supply enough current to wake the BMS. Leave it connected for 15–20 minutes; once the cell recovers above 3.0V, the BMS releases and normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Lumia 650 shuts off at around 25% after fitting the new BV-T3G — is the cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The Lumia 650's fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge model it built against your old degraded cell, so it misreads voltage under load and triggers shutdown early. Run one full cycle — discharge the phone until it powers off on its own, then charge without interruption to 100%. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates to the new cell and the early shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage on my Lumia 650 keeps jumping around after I replaced the BV-T3G — it went from 60% to 80% without charging.

Erratic percentage readings are a fuel gauge IC recalibration issue, not a hardware fault. The IC is interpolating between old reference points that no longer match the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity curve. Let the phone run one complete uninterrupted discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% in a single session. Once that cycle completes, the gauge has enough real data to track the new cell accurately.

Fast charging stopped working on my Lumia 650 right after I swapped in the replacement battery — it's just trickle charging now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC can default to trickle or standard charge mode while it validates the new BMS. This is normal behaviour — the protocol negotiation resets when a new cell is detected. Disconnect the charger, power the phone off completely, then reconnect. If fast charge still doesn't resume after that reset, complete one full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate first; most charge ICs re-enable higher current modes once the cell has at least one full cycle logged.
