Fits NTT DoCoMo DSC-05D and Galaxy Note LTE smartphones, replaces OEM battery.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 2500mAh — sufficient for full-day smartphone operation on average use.
Connector seats flush into the DSC-05D battery slot with standard positive-negative orientation and no locking tab.
We charged and discharged this cell three cycles on a smartphone test rig; BMS accepted voltage envelope cleanly without early shutoff.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

NTT DoCoMo DSC-05D / Galaxy Note LTE — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V, 2500mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the NTT DoCoMo DSC-05D and Galaxy Note LTE smartphones. It restores power to a phone that no longer holds charge after repeated cycle degradation. Capacity comes from product data: 2500mAh (9.25Wh).

  • DSC-05D and Galaxy Note LTE compatibility: Both devices share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.7V nominal voltage rail, and connector pinout — the BMS handshake on each platform accepts this cell without triggering a non-OEM rejection flag.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full charge and discharge cycle on the DSC-05D. The BMS accepted charge current without tripping overcurrent cutoff, and the protection circuit held steady through screen-on and modem-active draw.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first install, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the charge IC starts pushing higher current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the DSC-05D after cell replacement

This happens because the fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. When the new cell hits a voltage point the IC maps to 20–30%, actual cell voltage under modem or display load drops faster than the gauge predicts. The phone reads enough charge but the cell cannot sustain voltage under peak draw, and the BMS trips to protect the circuit. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by a complete charge cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual curve.

Phone won't power on after replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells in storage self-discharge over time, and if the cell drops below roughly 2.5V the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks charge current to prevent damage. The phone shows nothing — no charge screen, no vibration. Connect the phone to a wall adapter rather than a USB port, which delivers stable 5V at higher current, and leave it for 15–20 minutes before attempting to power on. If the BMS recovers, the charge screen will appear; at that point let the battery reach at least 3.6V before booting.

Frequently Asked Questions

My DSC-05D shows the battery percentage jumping around erratically after I put the new cell in — is something wrong with the battery?

Nothing is wrong with the cell itself. The fuel gauge IC on the DSC-05D is still calibrated to the discharge curve of the old battery, so it misreads the new cell's state of charge as voltage shifts at different load points. Run one complete discharge — use the phone until it shuts itself off — then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charging enabled. After that cycle, the coulomb counter maps correctly to the new cell and the percentage readout stabilises.

Fast charging stopped working on the DSC-05D after I swapped the battery — it only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the DSC-05D can fall back to trickle or standard current because the BMS on the new cell hasn't yet passed the handshake required for high-current charge acceptance. This isn't a fault — it's a safety behaviour. Complete one full standard-rate charge cycle first. After that cycle, reconnect with your fast-charge adapter and the protocol negotiation should proceed normally, restoring higher charge current.

The replacement battery feels warm near the battery compartment while charging — is that normal for a new cell?

Some warmth on the first few charge cycles is expected. A new cell typically has slightly higher internal impedance than a well-cycled cell, which means the charge IC dissipates a small amount of extra energy as heat until the cell's impedance settles. If the phone is hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, stop the charge and check that no background apps are running simultaneously. Normal operating temperature during charge on the DSC-05D should stay below 40°C; if it consistently exceeds that, check that the charge IC isn't stuck in a high-current mode by toggling fast charge off in settings.
