Fits O2 XDA Flint smartphone, replaces OEM part numbers ATHE160 and 35H00081-00M.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 2000mAh—sufficient capacity to restore standard talk and standby time on this mid-2000s Windows Mobile device.
Connector slides into the original battery slot with no modification; locking tab seats flush against the rear case cover.
We bench-tested this cell in an XDA Flint against known-good firmware; the BMS accepted charge without cutoff, and voltage held steady under typical modem load.
On first use, run one complete discharge-charge cycle before heavy messaging or call sessions—the fuel gauge IC needs one full curve to stop reporting phantom low-battery warnings.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

O2 XDA Flint — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (ATHE160)

This is a 3.7V 2000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the O2 XDA Flint Windows Mobile smartphone. It replaces OEM part numbers ATHE160 and 35H00081-00M. The cell fits the original battery bay with no modification required.

  • XDA Flint platform fit: The XDA Flint uses a single-cell Li-ion pack at 3.7V nominal. The connector pinout and BMS handshake protocol on this replacement match the original charge IC expectations, so the device accepts charge cycles without throwing fault states.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and full discharge on the XDA Flint platform. The BMS held voltage above 3.0V through the discharge curve and did not trigger early cutoff under simulated screen and radio load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before normal use. The XDA Flint's fuel gauge IC reads the new cell's discharge curve during this cycle and stops reporting leftover calibration data from the old cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the XDA Flint after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits a voltage cliff under screen or radio load at a point the IC did not predict. The device reads 25% but the cell voltage has already dropped below the cutoff threshold the charge IC is watching. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge cycle resets the coulomb counter and resolves this.

XDA Flint not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout to prevent damage and the phone will not power on or show a charging indicator. Connect the device to a low-current USB source and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. Most BMS circuits begin trickle recovery at this point and the device will show a charge screen once cell voltage climbs back above 2.8V.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my O2 XDA Flint still show the wrong battery percentage after fitting the new cell?

The fuel gauge IC on the XDA Flint stores a discharge curve calibrated to the old cell — it does not reset automatically when you swap the battery. The percentage reading pulls from that stale data until the IC sees a fresh full cycle. Run the phone down to automatic shutdown, then charge it to 100% in one uninterrupted session. After that single cycle the percentage readout tracks the new cell accurately.

The XDA Flint feels warm near the battery compartment while charging — is that normal with a new cell?

Some warmth during the first few charge cycles is expected. A new cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a cell that has been cycled, so the charge IC pushes a little more energy across that resistance, generating heat. It settles after three to five cycles. If the device becomes uncomfortable to hold or the charge IC stops mid-cycle, check that the battery contacts are clean and fully seated — a partial connection forces the IC to retry repeatedly, increasing heat.

My XDA Flint powers on but jumps from 60% straight to 15% within minutes — what is causing that?

That percentage jump is the fuel gauge IC losing track of the cell mid-discharge, not the cell itself failing. It happens when the coulomb counter was never reset after the battery swap and encounters a load spike — typically backlight or the radio stack — that the old calibration curve did not account for. The fix is one full discharge-to-shutdown cycle followed by a full uninterrupted charge; once the IC completes that loop it anchors the counter to the new cell's actual capacity at 3.7V nominal.
