Fits Olympia Vox Color and Vox Color 2159 smartphones; replaces OEM battery N/A.
3.7V 750mAh lithium-ion cell delivers stated capacity; restores full runtime to aged or failed packs.
Connector slides straight in with positive terminal forward; locking tab seats flush against phone housing.
We bench-tested this cell on a Vox Color charge cycle; the BMS accepted charge and discharged stable voltage under screen and modem load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Olympia Vox Color / Vox Color 2159 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V 750mAh Li-ion cell for the Olympia Vox Color and Vox Color 2159 compact smartphones. It fits the original battery bay directly, using the same footprint at 53.00 × 34.00 × 4.80mm. Swap it in when the original cell can no longer hold a usable charge.

  • Vox Color and Vox Color 2159 fit: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions and 3.7V single-cell architecture, so one cell covers the full pair. The connector and PCB protection circuit are matched to the charge IC on both boards.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the cell through charge and discharge on a calibrated rig, confirmed BMS cutoff triggers correctly at the low-voltage threshold, and verified no thermal event during the first charge cycle on a high-impedance new cell.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installing this cell, disable fast charging if your charger supports it, then run one full discharge down to automatic power-off before recharging to 100%. This gives the phone's fuel gauge IC a clean discharge curve to reference, so percentage readings stay accurate from the second cycle onward.

Why the Vox Color reports the wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The fuel gauge IC in the Vox Color stores a discharge curve learned from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship of the replacement. The phone reads voltage, maps it to the old curve, and outputs a percentage that can be off by 15–25 points. One full discharge-charge cycle rewrites the reference curve to match the new cell's actual behaviour, after which the gauge settles to accurate readings.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the new cell

A fresh Li-ion cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in one. When the modem fires a data burst or the screen peaks brightness, the load pulls enough current to cause a momentary voltage sag below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the displayed percentage looks safe. The phone interprets this voltage dip as a dead cell and shuts down. After three to five full charge cycles the cell's impedance drops, the sag narrows, and cutoffs at 20–30% stop occurring. If shutdowns continue past five cycles, check that the cell rests at 3.7V open-circuit after a full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Olympia Vox Color won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few weeks — is the cell dead?

It is likely in BMS lockout. If the cell self-discharged below 2.5V during storage, the protection circuit disconnects the output to prevent cell damage and the phone sees zero voltage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle-charge the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.8–3.0V, at which point the phone will boot or show a charging indicator.

The Vox Color percentage jumps around erratically — one minute it shows 60%, then drops to 35% without any warning. What's happening?

The coulomb counter in the fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve and has not yet built a stable model. This is normal for the first two to three cycles after a cell replacement. Let the phone discharge to automatic power-off once, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging early. After that full cycle the gauge has an anchor point at both ends of the curve and the jumping will stop.

Fast charging stopped working after I put in the replacement cell — my charger used to top up the phone quickly but now it charges slowly every time.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC defaults to a reduced current rate because it is profiling an unknown cell's impedance before allowing higher current. This is a protective behaviour, not a fault. Run one complete charge from near-empty to 100% on a standard charger, then reconnect your fast charger — the IC will have logged the cell's response and will accept the higher charge rate. If fast charging still does not engage after two full cycles, confirm the charger output is at least 5V 2A.
