Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Oppo Reno8 T 4G / CPH2481 — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLP959)

This is a 3.87V, 4850mAh (18.77Wh) Li-Polymer battery carrying OEM part number BLP959. It fits the Oppo CPH2481, Reno8 T, and Reno8 T 4G. If your original cell is swelling, failing to hold charge, or cutting out before the percentage hits zero, this is a direct cell replacement.

  • CPH2481 / Reno8 T platform fit: The CPH2481 and Reno8 T 4G share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake logic — all three models use BLP959 as the factory cell. No adapter or rewiring needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the CPH2481 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the charge IC handed off correctly at 4.40V cutoff.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current SUPERVOOC pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Reno8 T after a cell swap

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a steeper voltage cliff at low state-of-charge — the phone sees voltage drop under modem or display load and triggers an emergency shutdown before the percentage reaches zero. One full discharge-charge cycle without fast charging lets the coulomb counter reset against the new curve. After that cycle, the reported percentage and actual cell voltage track correctly again.

SUPERVOOC fast charge not activating after battery replacement

Oppo's SUPERVOOC protocol requires a handshake between the charge IC and the battery's BMS before elevated current is allowed. On the first cycle with a new cell, the BMS may default to standard 5V/2A charging until it completes an initialisation cycle. Plug into the original SUPERVOOC charger, let the phone charge to 100% without interruption, then restart the device. After reboot, the fast charge negotiation re-runs and SUPERVOOC should activate normally on the next charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Oppo Reno8 T shuts off at around 25% even though the new battery is fully charged — what's wrong?

The fuel gauge IC inside the phone is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. When the new cell's voltage drops sharply under screen or modem load, the IC interprets it as a critically low state and triggers shutdown. Run one full discharge to near-zero without fast charging, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter and the shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage on my CPH2481 keeps jumping around — it was at 54%, I unlocked the screen and it dropped to 38% instantly. Is the replacement cell faulty?

The cell itself is almost certainly fine — this is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating after the swap. It lost its reference points when the old cell was removed, and it's estimating state-of-charge from incomplete data. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles with fast charging turned off. The IC needs those full sweeps to anchor its high and low voltage reference points, after which percentage readings stabilise.

My Reno8 T won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before installation — is it dead?

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below roughly 2.5V, the BMS trips a lockout to prevent damage. The phone won't boot from a locked-out cell. Connect the original SUPERVOOC charger and leave it plugged in for at least 30 minutes with the phone off — the charge IC applies a trickle current to bring the cell above the BMS recovery threshold, which sits around 3.0V. Once it crosses that threshold, the BMS releases the lockout and the phone powers on normally.
