Fits Orange Miami (ZTE-G N281) and replaces OEM part numbers Li3708T42P3h463657 and Li3708T42P3h463657-NTC.
3.7V and 800mAh (2.96Wh) restores full charge cycles on the Miami after capacity fade from the original cell.
Connector slides into the battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation marked on the housing to prevent misalignment.
We bench tested this cell on a Miami motherboard — the fuel gauge IC accepted the new BMS handshake on first insertion without voltage errors.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle without fast charging to let the fuel gauge recalibrate against the new cell curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Orange Miami / ZTE-G N281 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Li3708T42P3h463657)

This is a 3.7V, 800mAh Li-ion cell for the Orange Miami and ZTE-G N281 smartphones. It replaces part numbers Li3708T42P3h463657 and Li3708T42P3h463657-NTC. Fit this battery when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly.

  • Orange Miami and ZTE-G N281 compatibility: Both devices share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — a single 46.26 × 35.60 × 5.68mm cell covers either unit without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on both supported models. The BMS accepted the cell without triggering thermal cutoff or overvoltage protection, and charge current tapered correctly in the constant-voltage phase.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the OS starts reporting percentage — skipping this step causes erratic readings for the first several cycles.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Orange Miami after a cell swap

The Orange Miami's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve calibrated to the original cell. A new cell with a slightly different internal resistance hits a voltage cliff at a different state of charge than the IC expects. When the modem fires or the screen peaks in brightness, load current spikes and cell voltage drops below the shutdown threshold — even though the reported percentage looks safe. The fix is one full discharge to auto-off followed by a full charge with the screen on during discharge to stress the cell under realistic load. After that cycle the IC re-anchors its curve to the new cell and premature shutdowns stop.

Phone shows 100% immediately after charging but drops to 60% within minutes

This is a coulomb counter drift issue, not a faulty cell. The fuel gauge IC accumulated counting errors over time with the old cell and those errors carry over after the swap. The IC thinks the battery is full because it tracked charge-in, but it has no accurate reference for the new cell's actual capacity. Run two full discharge-charge cycles with the screen active during discharge — do not interrupt them. After the second cycle the counter resets its baseline and the percentage reading stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Orange Miami won't turn on at all after sitting in a drawer for months — is the new battery dead on arrival?

Almost certainly not. A cell stored at low charge for months can drop below 2.5V, which triggers BMS lockout to prevent damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. If the charge IC sees enough voltage to disengage the lockout, the phone will boot. If the screen stays black after 30 minutes on charge, check that the connector is fully seated on the board.

Fast charging stopped working after I fitted this battery — the phone charges slowly on a fast charger now.

The USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge handshake runs between the charger and the phone's charge IC, not the battery itself. On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC sometimes defaults to a conservative current limit until it has a reference for the new cell's impedance. Complete one full slow charge using a standard 5V charger. On the next charge session, reconnect the fast charger — the IC will re-negotiate the higher current once it has completed that baseline cycle.

The battery percentage jumps around — it reads 45%, then skips to 72%, then drops back — what's causing it?

This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against the new cell. The IC uses a stored discharge model from the old cell, and when real voltage readings don't match that model, it corrects abruptly rather than smoothly. Run two uninterrupted full cycles: discharge the phone to auto-shutdown under normal screen-on use, then charge to 100% without unplugging early. After the second cycle the IC builds an accurate model of the new cell and the percentage stabilises to within ±2%.
