Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Orange SPV E600 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (EXCA160)

This is a 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion cell built to fit the Orange SPV E600 smartphone. It replaces OEM part numbers EXCA160 and 35H00080-00M. The battery slots into the original compartment and connects via the factory terminal layout.

  • SPV E600 fit: The E600 uses a single-cell Li-ion pack at 3.7V nominal with a specific terminal pitch and BMS communication line. This cell matches that voltage rail and connector footprint exactly — no adapters, no modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the bench. The BMS accepted charge from a standard 4.2V charge IC without tripping overcurrent protection, and the protection circuit responded correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge down to automatic shutoff, then charge fully without interruption. The E600's fuel gauge IC needs one full cycle against the new cell's discharge curve before it can report accurate percentage figures.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the SPV E600 after cell replacement

This is a voltage cliff problem, not a capacity problem. The E600's modem radio and display draw sharp current spikes that pull cell voltage down fast. If the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, it misreads state of charge and the phone shuts off before the percentage reaches zero. The fix is one full uncalibrated cycle — discharge to shutoff, charge to 100% uninterrupted. After that cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates and the shutoffs stop.

SPV E600 showing wrong battery percentage after replacement

The E600 stores the old cell's discharge profile in its fuel gauge IC. A new cell has a different internal resistance curve, so the IC reports figures based on data that no longer matches. You may see the percentage jump erratically, read high when the cell is actually low, or drop suddenly under load. Run one full discharge-to-shutoff and uninterrupted charge cycle. After that, the fuel gauge resets its calibration window to the new cell and percentage readings stabilise.

Frequently Asked Questions

My SPV E600 powers off at around 25% after fitting the new battery — is the cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The E600's fuel gauge IC is still reading the old cell's discharge curve, so it miscalculates the remaining charge and cuts power before the real voltage floor. Run one complete discharge down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single cycle resets the coulomb counter against the new cell, and the early shutoffs stop.

The SPV E600 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in the phone for a few weeks unused — what's happening?

The cell likely discharged below the BMS lockout threshold, typically around 2.5V per cell. When voltage drops that low, the protection circuit opens and blocks current flow to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC needs time to trickle current into the cell and bring it above the BMS recovery voltage before the device will respond.

The battery percentage on my SPV E600 keeps jumping around erratically — it went from 60% to 41% in seconds without heavy use.

This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against the new cell's discharge characteristics. The old calibration data stored in the IC doesn't match the internal resistance profile of the replacement cell, so state-of-charge estimates swing wildly until the counter resets. One full uninterrupted discharge-to-shutoff followed by a complete charge cycle gives the IC enough data to rebuild an accurate discharge map. After that cycle, the percentage readings settle.
