Fits Panasonic AG-DVC15, AG-DVX100BE, and compatible camcorders; replaces CGR-D08R, CGR-D120, CGP-D08S.
7.4V, 1100mAh lithium-ion delivers 8.14Wh for sustained video capture on professional-grade Panasonic camcorders.
Connector slides into standard Panasonic battery slot with positive contacts forward; locking tab engages on insertion.
We bench-tested this cell in the AG-DVC15 body; BMS accepted the pack on first charge cycle with stable voltage curve.
On first install, run one full charge-discharge cycle through the camcorder body itself — Panasonic's fuel gauge needs one cycle to map this cell's discharge profile for accurate remaining-time display during recording.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Panasonic AG-DVC15 / AG-DVX100BE Series — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CGR-D08R)

This is a 7.4V, 1100mAh Li-ion battery replacing OEM part numbers CGR-D08R, CGR-D120, and CGP-D08S. It fits the Panasonic AG-DVC15, AG-DVX100BE, AJ-PCS060G, and CGR-D08A/1B among other compatible models. Voltage and capacity match the OEM specification exactly.

  • AG-DVC15 and DVX100BE series compatibility: These camcorders share the same 7.4V battery rail, physical form factor, and BMS handshake protocol. One battery fits both platforms without modification or adapters.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Panasonic camcorder body. The BMS accepted the cell, voltage held steady across the discharge curve, and no protection cutoff events were triggered under normal camcorder load.
  • First-use cycle on camera body: Insert the battery and run a full charge from within the camcorder body or OEM charger before your first shoot. Panasonic's BMS maps the battery-remaining display to the cell's discharge curve during this initial cycle — skipping it produces inaccurate charge percentage readings on the LCD.

Why the AG-DVC15 shows a dead-battery indicator on a partially charged replacement cell

Panasonic camcorder BMS systems calibrate their fuel gauge against the discharge curve of the installed cell. A new replacement cell has not yet provided that calibration data to the camera. The body reads voltage at a threshold point that doesn't match its stored curve, and flags a low or dead battery even when the cell is at 70–80% charge. Run one complete charge-to-full cycle inside the camera or OEM charger. After that cycle, the gauge reads accurately against the actual cell curve.

Battery percentage jumping erratically on the camcorder LCD

This happens when the camera's voltage-threshold indicator maps incorrectly to the replacement cell's discharge curve. The OEM curve and the replacement curve don't align at key percentage checkpoints until the BMS has logged a full discharge cycle. It is not a cell defect. Charge the battery fully, run it down to the point the camera shuts off automatically, then charge fully again — after this cycle the percentage display stabilises at the correct value.

Frequently Asked Questions

My AG-DVC15 shows "no battery" or won't power on at all with the replacement installed — is the cell faulty?

This is nearly always the BMS authentication check on first install, not a bad cell. The camera body needs to see a charge event before it fully accepts a new third-party cell. Seat the battery, connect to the OEM charger or charge via the camera body, and let it complete a full charge cycle. After that charge, the body powers on normally and recognises the battery.

The battery percentage on my DVX100BE LCD jumps around — reads 80%, then drops to 20%, then climbs again mid-shoot. What's happening?

The camcorder's fuel gauge maps battery state against a stored voltage-discharge curve from the original cell. A new replacement cell has a slightly different curve, so the percentage readings misfire at certain voltage thresholds until the BMS recalibrates. This isn't a defect in the replacement cell. Run one full discharge cycle — charge to 100%, shoot until the camera shuts off automatically, then recharge fully — and the display stabilises.

My AG-DVX100BE runs through this battery much faster than the original, especially during continuous recording. What's drawing it down?

Continuous video recording stacks multiple high-draw loads simultaneously — the CCD or sensor, the image processor, the LCD monitor, and the recording mechanism all pull current at once. At 1100mAh, this cell matches OEM capacity, so if drain feels faster than the original, check whether the LCD brightness is set high or the viewfinder and LCD are running together. Drop LCD brightness to mid-level and disable any unused outputs; this reduces combined draw and extends each charge cycle noticeably.
