Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Panasonic AG-DVC15 / AG-DVC32 Series — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CGR-D210)
This 7.4V, 2200mAh Li-ion battery replaces the CGR-D210, CGR-D220, and CGP-D16S cells used in Panasonic DV camcorders. It fits the AG-DVC15, AG-DVC32, AG-DVC60, AG-DVC62, and over 49 additional models in the same series. The connector and BMS communication protocol match the OEM specification for these camcorder bodies.
- AG-DVC series compatibility: The DVC15 through DVC62 models share the same 7.4V battery rail and identical locking connector. The BMS on each body expects the same voltage handshake and cell-state data, so one replacement cell covers the full range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on a DVC32 body. The BMS accepted the cell on first contact, reported state-of-charge accurately, and did not trigger a low-voltage cutoff during sustained recording loads.
- First-cycle calibration on DVC bodies: Complete one full charge through the OEM charger or camera body before your first recording session. Some AG-series bodies require an in-camera charge cycle to map the new cell's discharge curve and display battery-remaining accurately on the LCD.
Why the AG-DVC15 shows a lower battery level than expected on a new cell
The AG-DVC15 uses a voltage-threshold lookup to estimate remaining charge. A new Li-ion cell has a slightly different discharge curve than an aged OEM cell, so the camera reads the thresholds differently at first. This causes the indicator to start lower than the actual charge level. After one or two full charge-discharge cycles inside the camera, the BMS recalibrates and the readout stabilises to match the real state of charge.
Battery percentage dropping suddenly during continuous recording on the DVC60 and DVC62
Sustained video recording on the DVC60 and DVC62 pulls a higher combined load from the CCD sensor, image processor, and viewfinder simultaneously. At this elevated draw, the cell voltage dips temporarily below the camera's warning threshold, triggering a sudden percentage drop even though capacity remains. This is a BMS voltage-sag response, not cell failure. Check that the battery contacts on the body are clean and seated firmly — dirty contacts increase resistance and make voltage sag worse. A resting voltage above 7.2V after the drop confirms the cell is healthy.

Frequently Asked Questions
My AG-DVC15 displays "no battery" or won't turn on after fitting the replacement — what's causing this?
The AG-DVC15 BMS runs an authentication check when a new cell is inserted. If the body hasn't seen this cell before, it can refuse to initialise on the first attempt. Remove the battery, wait ten seconds, and reinsert it firmly — then place it in the OEM charger for a full charge cycle before returning it to the camera body. This single charge cycle from the charger is usually enough for the body to accept the cell and power on normally.
The battery percentage on my DVC32 is jumping around — it reads 80%, then skips to 40% without warning. Is the cell faulty?
The DVC32 maps battery percentage using fixed voltage thresholds calibrated to the original OEM cell's discharge curve. A fresh replacement cell discharges along a slightly different curve, so the camera misreads the remaining charge and the percentage jumps between thresholds. The cell itself is not faulty. Run two full charge-discharge cycles in the camera body and the display will track the new curve accurately, with jumps reducing significantly after the second cycle.
I'm getting far fewer shots than expected — the cell drains much faster in cold conditions on location shoots. What's happening?
Li-ion cells lose effective capacity as temperature drops below 15°C because ion mobility in the electrolyte slows. On location, this shows up as noticeably shorter shooting time compared to indoor use with the same cell. Keep the spare battery in an inside jacket pocket between uses to hold it near body temperature. Once warmed back to 20°C or above, the cell returns to its rated 2200mAh output — cold exposure does not cause permanent capacity loss.
