Fits Panasonic AG-DVC15 and CGR-D320 compatible camcorders.
7.4V and 3300mAh delivers 24.42Wh — standard capacity for professional video work without extended external power.
Connector slides straight in with positive terminal forward; locking tab seats flush against the camera battery door.
We ran full discharge cycles on the AG-DVC15 body — BMS accepted the cell on first insertion with no authentication delay.
On first use, charge this cell fully within the camera body before heavy shooting — Panasonic camcorders need a charge cycle from the camera to map discharge curves for accurate remaining-capacity display during recording.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Panasonic AG-DVC15 Series — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CGR-D320)

This 7.4V, 3300mAh (24.42Wh) Li-ion cell replaces the CGR-D320, VW-VBD25, and CGP-D28S across the Panasonic AG-DVC15, CGR-D28A/1B, CGR-D28SE/1B, CGR-D320A/1B, and 29 additional compatible models. It slots directly into the battery compartment and draws power through the same contact array as the OEM pack. Capacity figure is 3300mAh — matched to the original specification.

  • AG-DVC15 platform compatibility: These models share the same 7.4V battery rail, identical connector pinout, and a common BMS handshake protocol — which is why one cell covers the full CGR-D series lineup without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the AG-DVC15 body. The BMS accepted the pack, reported charge status correctly, and the protection circuit tripped at the expected low-voltage cutoff without shutting down mid-recording.
  • First-use charge cycle on AG-DVC15: Run the first full charge through the camera body or OEM charger before a shoot. The AG-DVC15 BMS calibrates its remaining-charge display against the cell's discharge curve during that initial cycle — skipping it causes the battery indicator to read inaccurately throughout the pack's life.

AG-DVC15 battery indicator freezing or jumping during recording

The AG-DVC15 maps remaining charge to a voltage-threshold table stored in the camera body. A fresh replacement cell has a discharge curve that starts slightly higher than an aged OEM pack, so the camera's threshold table misreads the early voltage plateau and freezes the indicator. As the cell drops into the mid-discharge range, the voltage aligns with the camera's table and the indicator catches up in a jump. One complete charge and discharge cycle through the camera body recalibrates the mapping. After that cycle, the indicator tracks correctly down to the 7.0V cutoff.

AG-DVC15 showing no battery or refusing to power on with new cell installed

This happens when the BMS in the replacement cell ships in a partially discharged state and the camera body's initialisation handshake times out before receiving a valid voltage response. The camera interprets the slow response as a missing or faulty pack and blocks power-on. Place the cell in an OEM-compatible external charger first and bring it to full charge — typically to 8.4V at the charger's termination point. Reinstall into the camera body and power on. That charge state gives the BMS enough headroom to complete the handshake within the camera's timeout window.

Frequently Asked Questions

My AG-DVC15 shows a full battery icon then drops to empty within minutes of starting to record — what's happening?

The camera's battery-level display is mapped to fixed voltage thresholds. A new cell holds a higher resting voltage than the camera expects at "full," so the indicator stays pinned at full briefly, then steps down quickly once the voltage drops into the camera's mapped range. This is a display calibration issue, not a cell fault. Run one complete charge-to-discharge cycle through the camera body and the indicator will track the actual cell voltage correctly from 8.4V down to the 7.0V cutoff.

The AG-DVC15 battery percentage jumps erratically mid-shoot — is the replacement cell defective?

Not necessarily. The AG-DVC15 infers remaining capacity from voltage thresholds, and a replacement cell's discharge curve can differ slightly from the OEM pack the camera was calibrated against. As the cell moves through its mid-discharge plateau, the voltage steps don't align with the camera's stored table, causing the indicator to skip levels. Charge the pack fully in the camera body and allow it to discharge completely once — that cycle lets the BMS re-anchor the display to the new cell's actual curve. After one full cycle the readout stabilises.

My AG-DVC15 runs noticeably shorter shoots in cold weather with the new battery — is that normal?

Li-ion cells lose usable capacity when the internal temperature drops below roughly 10°C because ion mobility through the electrolyte slows, which raises internal resistance and causes voltage to sag earlier. The camera's BMS hits its low-voltage cutoff sooner than it would at room temperature — not because the cell is faulty, but because cold reduces the voltage the cell can sustain under the recorder's draw. Keep a second cell in an inside pocket to maintain it near body temperature, and swap packs when one trips the cutoff. Both cells will recover close to full capacity once back at 20°C.
