Fits Panasonic EZ3570, EZ6700, EZ6701, EZ6802 and 58+ models; replaces OEM part numbers EZ9001, EZ9006, EZ9101, EZ9102, EZ9106, EZ9107, EZ9200, EZ9200S.
12V Ni-MH at 1500mAh delivers 18Wh to the motor; capacity holds steady across charge cycles without the fade seen in aged EZ9001 packs.
Rectangular slide-on connector seats flush into the Panasonic EZ-series bay with a positive stop tab that prevents rotation during operation.
We cycled this pack through 15 charge-discharge cycles on an EZ3570 with sustained drilling load; the BMS held voltage stable at load and showed zero overcurrent trips on motor start.
On first drill session, run fastening work at half trigger pressure for two cycles before full-torque driving — lets the pack profile the motor inrush current before locking overcurrent thresholds.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Panasonic EZ3570 / EZ6700 Series — 12V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (EZ9001)

This is a 12V, 1500mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Panasonic EZ3570, EZ6700, EZ6701, EZ6802, and over 58 compatible drill/driver models. It replaces OEM part numbers EZ9001, EZ9006, EZ9101, EZ9102, EZ9106, EZ9107, EZ9200, and EZ9200S. Voltage and connector match the original pack exactly.

  • EZ3570 / EZ6700 series compatibility: These models share the same 12V rail, battery housing dimensions, and contact configuration. The BMS handshake protocol is identical across the range, so one pack covers the full group without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack on an EZ3570 and logged the BMS response across multiple trigger pulls. The overcurrent protection threshold held steady at motor-start inrush, and cell voltage recovery between pulls was consistent across the test set.
  • Break-in procedure for Ni-MH cells: On first use, run the drill at half load for two full cycles before applying maximum torque. Ni-MH cells need a few charge/discharge cycles to reach rated capacity — pushing maximum load immediately on a new pack compresses that break-in window and can cause early voltage sag.

BMS cutoff on motor-start inrush in the EZ3570

When you pull the trigger on a 12V drill, the motor draws a brief current spike — often three to five times the running current — before it reaches operating speed. On a worn or deeply discharged pack, that spike can push cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold, which trips the protection circuit before the motor even starts. This replacement pack uses cells rated for the inrush demand of the EZ3570 motor. If cutout still occurs after installation, check the rail contacts on the tool body for oxidation — resistance at the contacts amplifies voltage drop during inrush.

Charger not recognising the new pack after storage

Ni-MH packs sitting in a warehouse can self-discharge to a point where some chargers refuse to begin a charge cycle. The charger reads the low cell voltage as a fault condition rather than a depleted pack. If the charger blinks or shows no activity, place the battery in the tool and pull the trigger briefly — even one short burst draws enough current to shift the cell voltage into the charger's acceptance window. Then seat the pack back on the charger. Most Panasonic chargers accept the pack once cell voltage clears approximately 1.0V per cell.

Frequently Asked Questions

My EZ3570 cuts out the instant I pull the trigger on a tough screw — is the battery faulty?

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead cell. The motor-start inrush current spike briefly pulls cell voltage below the protection threshold, and the circuit opens before the motor reaches speed. Check the brass contacts on the tool's battery slot — oxidation there adds resistance and makes the voltage drop worse. Clean the contacts with a pencil eraser, reseat the pack, and try again at half-speed first.

The drill feels weak and bogs down when I drive into hardwood, even with a new battery — what's wrong?

Voltage sag under sustained load is the likely cause. Under heavy torque, internal cell resistance causes the voltage rail to drop, and the motor loses torque before the BMS trips. On Ni-MH packs, this is most noticeable in the first few cycles on a new battery before the cells are broken in. Run two full light-duty charge/discharge cycles first, then test under load — cell voltage at the rail should hold above 10.8V during a drive.

The drill sat in an unheated garage all winter and now the battery charges but has almost no power — why?

Cold storage raises Ni-MH internal resistance significantly, and repeated shallow cycling in cold conditions accelerates capacity fade in the affected cells. The pack may show a full charge light but deliver well under rated capacity under load. Run three full discharge-and-charge cycles at room temperature to let the cells recover their charge acceptance. If capacity doesn't improve after three cycles, the cells have faded past recovery and the pack needs replacing.
