Fits Panda X500, X580, X600 cordless stick vacuums with 14.4V Ni-MH chemistry.
14.4V and 2000mAh capacity delivers sufficient power for sustained motor operation on standard floor and carpet cleaning cycles.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with locking tab engagement — no force needed on insertion or removal.
We bench-tested this cell on the X500 motor load; BMS handled the initial charge cycle without fault codes or early cutoff events.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously — Ni-MH packs on permanent dock charge lose capacity within weeks; charge to full and remove the battery immediately.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Panda X500 / X580 / X600 — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Panda X500, X580, and X600 cordless stick vacuums. It slots into the original battery housing and restores power to the motor without replacing the whole unit. Capacity is rated at 2000mAh (28.8Wh), matching the original specification.

  • X500, X580, and X600 compatibility: These three models share the same 14.4V battery rail, connector pinout, and housing dimensions. Swapping between them is straightforward because the BMS charge and discharge thresholds are identical across the range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on a Panda cordless vacuum motor assembly. The BMS held cutoff voltage correctly and the cell delivered consistent output without voltage sag under normal suction load.
  • Dock charging habit on Ni-MH cells: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Ni-MH chemistry degrades significantly faster under continuous trickle charge. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock until the next use.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator shows low

This is one of the most common complaints on the X500 and X580. The battery indicator reads mid-range, but suction noticeably weakens — especially on carpet or rugs. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which causes voltage to sag under load even when cell capacity is not fully depleted. The result is reduced motor speed and weaker airflow with no low-battery warning. Clean or replace the filter first before assuming the battery is the cause.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a flat battery. When suction is restricted — blocked nozzle, saturated filter, or carpet pile jamming the brush roll — the motor draws a sustained current spike above the BMS threshold. The BMS shuts the cell output to protect the battery, which reads as the vacuum switching off. After a short pause the BMS resets and the motor restarts. Clear the blockage and check the filter before assuming the battery needs replacement. If the trip repeats on a clean machine, measure resting cell voltage — a healthy Ni-MH pack at full charge should sit between 16.8V and 17.2V across the terminals.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Panda X500 loses suction halfway through a clean but the battery light still shows green — what's happening?

A green indicator does not mean the motor is getting full voltage. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor draws above its rated current and the cell voltage sags under that load, cutting airflow before capacity is actually depleted. Pull the filter out and clean it — if suction recovers immediately, the filter was the cause, not the battery. If the problem persists on a clean filter with a new cell, check that the brush roll channel is clear of debris.

My Panda X580 shuts off during use and restarts after I wait 30 seconds — is the battery faulty?

That restart pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead cell. A blocked nozzle or saturated filter forces the motor to draw a sustained current spike, and the BMS cuts output to protect the pack. Clear any blockage, clean the filter, and run the vacuum again. If it still trips on a clear machine, measure the pack voltage at the terminals after a full charge — a healthy cell should read between 16.8V and 17.2V.

My Panda X600 stopped holding a charge after months of sitting on the dock — can I recover the battery?

Continuous dock charging slowly degrades Ni-MH cells through trickle charge damage, which compresses capacity over time. A deeply degraded pack sometimes recovers partially through two or three full discharge-and-recharge cycles away from the dock — discharge the vacuum until it shuts off under load, then charge fully and remove it immediately. If capacity does not improve after three cycles, the cells have aged past recovery and replacement is the correct fix. Going forward, charge the unit only when depleted and remove it from the dock once full.
