This is a 14.4V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the XCONTROL Profi Duoro cordless handheld vacuum. It fits the Profi Duoro and Duoro Xclean Profi Duoro models. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds enough charge to complete a cleaning session.

  • Profi Duoro and Duoro Xclean Profi Duoro compatibility: Both models share the same 14.4V motor rail and battery housing. The connector and cell pack dimensions — 134.70 x 45.50 x 45.80mm — match across the range, so one cell covers both variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through repeated vacuum motor loads, including sustained suction pulls on restricted airflow. The BMS held stable across all draw cycles with no unexpected cutoff events at rated 2000mAh.
  • Dock charging on this vacuum: Do not leave the Profi Duoro sitting on its charging dock after the cell reaches full. Ni-MH cells in cordless vacuums on continuous dock charge develop capacity fade significantly faster than cells charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.

Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated to maintain airflow. The voltage at the motor drops under that extra load, and suction weakens even though the battery still shows charge. The BMS sees the elevated draw but doesn't cut out — it just can't sustain the voltage the motor needs. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest; if suction recovers, the battery is not the fault.

Motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. It happens when sustained restricted suction — usually a blocked filter or blockage in the nozzle — pushes current draw past the BMS threshold. The BMS cuts the circuit to protect the cells, then resets after the pack cools slightly. Clear any blockage, check the filter, and confirm the resting pack voltage reads above 12.0V before resuming use.

My Profi Duoro suction gets noticeably weaker halfway through cleaning even though the battery light isn't showing low — is the new battery already faulty?

Unlikely. Weak mid-clean suction on this vacuum is almost always a filter restriction issue, not a cell failure. A clogged filter makes the motor work harder, which pulls more current and drops the voltage the motor receives — suction falls off even with a charged pack. Clean or replace the filter and run the vacuum again; if suction stays strong through the session, the battery is fine.

The motor on my Profi Duoro keeps cutting out and restarting every few minutes — what's causing that?

That's the BMS tripping on overcurrent, not a defective cell. When airflow is restricted — blocked nozzle, full dust cup, dirty filter — the motor draws more current than the BMS allows, so it cuts the circuit and resets once the pack cools. Clear the blockage, empty the dust cup, and check the filter before the next run. If the cutouts stop, the battery is operating correctly.

The replacement battery on my Profi Duoro lost noticeably more capacity after a few weeks — it ran much longer when it was new. What happened?

Ni-MH cells in cordless vacuums fade quickly when left on the charging dock continuously. Trickle charge from the dock degrades the cell chemistry faster than normal charge cycles do. Charge the battery fully and then remove the vacuum from the dock — don't use it as a permanent charging stand. After a few proper charge-and-deplete cycles, capacity should stabilise near the rated 2000mAh.
