Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

PHICOMM C1530L — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BL-F36)
This is a 3.7V, 2000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the PHICOMM C1530L smartphone. It uses OEM part number BL-F36 and fits directly into the C1530L rear-access battery bay. Capacity matches the original cell at 2000mAh (7.4Wh).
- C1530L fit confirmation: The BL-F36 battery format is specific to the C1530L's compact chassis — 75.56 x 58.00 x 4.44mm. The connector tab alignment and cell thickness are matched to the original bay geometry. No adapter or modification is needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the C1530L platform. The BMS handshake completed without error on the first connection, and charge termination triggered correctly at 4.2V. The fuel gauge IC accepted the new cell without tripping a fault state.
- First-cycle calibration tip: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell. Skip this step and percentage readings will drift until the gauge self-corrects.
Why the C1530L reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The C1530L uses a fuel gauge IC that tracks charge state against a learned discharge curve from the previous cell. When a new cell goes in, the stored curve no longer matches the actual cell chemistry — so reported percentage drifts from real charge state. This shows up as the phone jumping from 40% to 15% in minutes, or showing 100% when the cell is not fully charged. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by a slow charge to 100% forces the gauge IC to relearn the curve. After that cycle, percentage accuracy returns to normal.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This is a voltage cliff failure — not a capacity issue. Under peak modem or display load, the cell voltage drops sharply below the BMS cutoff threshold before the gauge reaches 0%. The C1530L's protection circuit trips the cell offline to prevent over-discharge damage, which the OS reads as a sudden shutdown. It happens more often in the first few cycles before the fuel gauge IC recalibrates to the new cell. Run two full discharge-charge cycles to let the gauge IC align its cutoff prediction with the actual cell voltage behaviour.

Frequently Asked Questions
The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?
Probably not dead, but the BMS has locked the cell out. If the cell voltage dropped below 2.5V during storage, the protection circuit trips and blocks current flow to prevent damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. Most BMS circuits on the BL-F36 cell will trickle-charge back to the 2.8V recovery threshold and then release the lockout automatically.
Battery percentage is jumping around erratically — 60% one minute, 35% the next — after I installed the new cell.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating. The coulomb counter in the C1530L was trained on the old cell's discharge curve, and the new BL-F36 cell has a slightly different voltage-to-capacity profile. The gauge outputs unstable readings until it maps the new curve. Run the phone down until it shuts off from low battery, then charge it fully to 100% in one uninterrupted session. After that single full cycle, the gauge IC locks onto the new curve and erratic jumping stops.
Fast charging stopped working after I swapped in the new battery — the phone now charges slowly even with the original fast charger.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the C1530L sometimes defaults to standard current until it verifies the new cell's impedance is within range. This is a deliberate protection behaviour — not a fault with the charger or the BL-F36 cell. Complete one full slow charge to 100%, then disconnect and reconnect the charger. Fast charge protocol handshake typically resumes on the second session once the IC has logged one full charge cycle against the new cell.
