Fits Philips S10A, S10H, and S10A/38 cordless handsets; replaces OEM part PH454061.
3.7V, 1200mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers rated capacity for a full day of typical cordless phone use.
Connector slides into the handset battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation marked on housing.
Bench testing showed clean voltage ramp on first charge cycle with no BMS cutoff or base station errors.
After installing, seat the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first call — lithium-polymer chemistry in cordless phones needs slow initial charge to stabilize voltage regulation on the handset.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Philips S10A / S10H — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PH454061)

This is a 3.7V, 1200mAh lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Philips S10A, S10A/38, and S10H cordless DECT handsets. It replaces OEM part PH454061 and fits the existing battery compartment without modification. Dimensions are 63.18 × 36.88 × 4.60mm.

  • S10A, S10A/38, and S10H compatibility: These three handset variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and voltage requirements — one cell covers all three. The 3.7V nominal Li-Polymer chemistry matches the base station charging circuit expectations exactly.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the S10A handset platform. The BMS held charge termination correctly and the handset registered full battery status on the display within the first charge cycle.
  • First charge protocol for Li-Polymer handsets: After fitting this battery, seat the handset in the base and leave it undisturbed for a full charge cycle before first use. Li-Polymer cells shipped in partial-charge storage state need one complete charge to allow the BMS to calibrate the state-of-charge reading accurately.

Talk time shorter than expected after replacing the S10A battery

A new Li-Polymer cell shipped from storage typically arrives at 40–60% charge. The handset BMS reads this partial state and sets an inaccurate full-capacity baseline. This causes the battery indicator to drop faster than it should in early use. One full charge-to-discharge cycle resets the BMS calibration and restores accurate capacity reporting.

Philips S10A handset losing DECT pairing after battery swap

Removing the battery from a DECT handset cuts power to volatile memory, which can erase the base station registration data. The handset powers back on but shows no line or fails to ring. Re-register the handset at the base station using the paging or registration button — on the S10A base, hold the registration button for three seconds until the handset confirms pairing.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Philips S10A battery drains overnight even when the handset is sitting in the base — is the new battery faulty?

This is almost always a seating issue, not a faulty cell. If the handset isn't fully clicked into the base cradle, the charging contacts don't make a clean connection and the handset runs on battery in standby instead of drawing from the base. Press the handset firmly down into the cradle until you feel it seat, then check the charge indicator light on the base confirms an active charge.

The base station shows no charge light or a fault light after I fitted the new battery — what's wrong?

A Li-Polymer cell sitting in storage can drop to a voltage level the base station charging circuit won't accept as a valid battery. The base sees the low voltage as an error condition and refuses to start a charge cycle. Place the handset in the base for 10–15 minutes anyway — some S10A base units will trickle-charge a low cell until it reaches the acceptance threshold, at which point the charge light activates. If the cell voltage has dropped below 3.0V, the BMS may have tripped; try a different USB charger at 5V via the handset micro-USB port if one is present, or allow the base trickle cycle to complete.

My S10A has noticeably shorter range since I swapped the battery — can a new cell cause that?

Yes. When a Li-Polymer cell is below full charge, its output voltage sags under the RF transmit load the DECT radio draws during a call. Lower transmit voltage means lower effective output power, which cuts range. Charge the handset to 100% and retest — if range is still reduced, check that the battery connector is fully seated, as a loose pin adds resistance and causes the same voltage sag under load.
