Fits Plantronics Voyager Focus B825 and Voyager Focus 2 headsets, replacing OEM battery part AHB403029.
3.7V, 360mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers the energy density this compact wireless headset requires for full-day talk cycles.
Connector seats flush into the battery slot behind the ear cup with a single locking tab; orientation is keyed.
We ran charge cycles on a B825 base station—BMS registered on first insert, voltage held steady under sustained DECT radio draw.
On first use, charge the headset in the base station for one complete cycle before taking calls; the DECT platform needs to log the new cell before talk-time estimates stabilize.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Plantronics Voyager Focus B825 Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AHB403029)

This 3.7V, 360mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the OEM battery in the Plantronics Voyager Focus B825, B825-M, Voyager Focus 2, and Voyager Focus UC headsets. It matches the original AHB403029 pack in voltage, footprint, and connector orientation. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds enough charge for a full day of calls.

  • Voyager Focus B825 series fit: The B825, B825-M, Focus 2, and Focus UC share the same battery bay dimensions and BMS handshake protocol. All four models draw from a single 3.7V cell with the same connector pinout, so one replacement covers the range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the B825 charging circuit and confirmed the BMS completed a full handshake with the base station. Cell voltage at full charge measured 4.18V, within the OEM tolerance band.
  • First-cycle base station charging: Seat the headset in the base station and charge it to completion before making any calls. The base needs a full charge cycle to log the new cell and begin reporting talk-time estimates accurately — skipping this causes the indicator to misread state of charge from day one.

Why the Voyager Focus B825 cuts out mid-call on a fresh battery

The B825 runs both audio processing and the Bluetooth radio from the same 3.7V cell. During active calls, that combined draw creates brief voltage sag events. If the replacement cell hasn't completed its first full charge cycle, its resting voltage sits closer to the BMS low-cutoff threshold, and a sag event trips the protection circuit. Run two or three complete charge-discharge cycles through the base station, and the BMS recalibrates its cutoff window to match the new cell's actual capacity curve.

Base station shows a full charge but the headset powers off after a few minutes

This happens when the replacement cell ships at storage voltage — typically around 3.6–3.7V — and the base station misreads that as near-full on the first check-in. The BMS hasn't completed its initialisation handshake, so the charge indicator is unreliable. Place the headset in the base, leave it charging for a full uninterrupted cycle, and wait for the LED to confirm completion. After that first cycle, the state-of-charge reading will track correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Voyager Focus B825 keeps dropping the call signal a few minutes in — is this the battery?

Yes, and the cause is voltage sag under the combined Bluetooth radio and audio processing load. When a replacement cell is new or hasn't been fully cycled yet, its voltage can dip briefly below the BMS cutoff during high-draw moments, which drops the connection. Run three full charge-discharge cycles through the base station and the BMS will calibrate its cutoff to the cell's actual capacity. After that, mid-call dropouts from voltage sag stop.

The base station says the headset is fully charged, but talk time is much shorter than expected for the first few days — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong — this is a normal behaviour for a new lithium-polymer cell in this headset. The B825's charge indicator reads state of charge from BMS data, and a fresh cell needs three to five full cycles before that data reflects the cell's true capacity. Talk time improves noticeably after each cycle during that break-in period. Keep charging fully in the base station and the reported and actual talk time will align by cycle four or five.

The headset feels noticeably warm on the side of the housing during long calls — is that normal with a new battery?

It's expected during the first several uses. The B825 housing is compact, and a new cell running both the audio chip and Bluetooth radio generates more heat than a conditioned cell does — the internal resistance is slightly higher before the first few cycles are completed. The warmth should reduce once the cell has been through three or four full charge cycles. If the housing stays hot after that point, check that the base station contacts are clean and making full contact with the headset charging pins.
