Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

PowerWalker PW-V1 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 3.7V 1050mAh Li-ion cell is a direct replacement for the PowerWalker PW-V1 camera battery. It fits the PW-V1 body and restores full shooting capability when the original cell no longer holds adequate charge. Voltage and capacity match the factory specification — 3.7V, 1050mAh (3.89Wh).
- PW-V1 fitment: The PW-V1 uses a slim 52.92 × 33.78 × 5.48mm cell format. This replacement matches those dimensions exactly, so the door closes flush and the contact pins seat correctly without forcing.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS held the cutoff voltage cleanly at both ends — no early shutdown and no overcharge bleed at the top of the curve.
- First-cycle charge protocol for the PW-V1: Charge this cell inside the camera body using the OEM charger or USB-C port before your first shoot. Some camera BMS systems only map battery-remaining percentage accurately after completing one full charge cycle from within the body itself.
PW-V1 showing dead battery indicator on a partially charged replacement cell
The PW-V1's fuel gauge reads voltage thresholds mapped to the discharge curve of the original cell. A new replacement cell has a slightly different resting voltage at partial states of charge, which can make the indicator read empty even when capacity remains. This is a calibration mismatch, not a fault in the replacement cell. Run one full charge-to-discharge cycle inside the camera body and the indicator will re-anchor to the new cell's curve.
Battery percentage jumping erratically on the PW-V1 display
Erratic percentage jumps happen when the camera's voltage-to-percentage lookup table doesn't yet align with the replacement cell's discharge curve. The cell is delivering power correctly — the display is just interpolating voltage readings against a reference it hasn't recalibrated to. Perform a full charge cycle via the camera body. After that cycle, the BMS recalculates its reference points and the percentage readout stabilises. If it doesn't settle after two cycles, check that the battery contacts on both the cell and body are clean and making full contact.

Frequently Asked Questions
The PW-V1 screen says "no battery" or "incompatible battery" the moment I drop in the replacement — is the cell dead?
The cell isn't dead — the PW-V1 BMS runs an authentication check on install and can reject an unrecognised cell on first contact. Power the camera off, remove the battery, reinsert it firmly so all three contact pins seat fully, then power on again. If the error persists, place the battery in the camera and charge it via the OEM cable or charger for a full cycle; this handshake during charging is often what the BMS needs to accept the cell. After one full charge cycle, the "incompatible" flag clears on most PW-V1 units.
My shot count is noticeably lower than what the original battery delivered — is the replacement underspec?
Shot count drops when draw spikes beyond what a simple capacity figure predicts. On the PW-V1, flash recycling, continuous autofocus, optical stabilisation, and the EVF or LCD backlight all pull current simultaneously, and that combined load shortens the count relative to a rated-capacity estimate. The replacement cell is at full 1050mAh — the same as the factory spec — so the gap isn't a capacity shortfall. Reduce continuous AF tracking or lower LCD brightness during heavy shooting sessions to keep the per-shot draw closer to the spec baseline.
Flash takes noticeably longer to recycle between shots toward the end of the charge — is this a battery fault?
This is normal behaviour tied to cell voltage at low state of charge, not a fault. The flash capacitor recharges by drawing a burst of current from the battery; as cell voltage drops toward 3.0V near depletion, the current available for that recharge burst decreases, so the recycling time stretches. It happens with original cells too — it's just more noticeable with a freshly installed replacement before you've recalibrated expectations. If recycling slows significantly before the indicator hits 20%, check that the battery contacts are clean and that the cell is seating without any lateral wobble in the chamber.
