Fits Prestigio RoadRunner 505 dashcam; replaces OEM part ICR533443 internal battery cell.
3.7V 900mAh Li-ion cell powers recording during engine start and parking mode operations.
Cylindrical 18650-format cell slides into the dashcam's internal battery slot with flat-top orientation.
We bench-tested this ICR533443 cell against the RoadRunner 505 charging circuit; BMS accepted the new pack without fault codes on first connection.
After installing this cell, drive for one complete charge cycle before relying on parking mode — the dashcam's capacitor management system needs to calibrate against the new cell before parking mode duration is accurate.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Prestigio RoadRunner 505 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (ICR533443)

This 3.7V 900mAh Li-ion cell replaces the internal battery in the Prestigio RoadRunner 505 and PCDVRR505 dashcams. It restores the camera's ability to buffer power during ignition cycles and sustain parking mode recording when the vehicle engine is off. OEM part number ICR533443, dimensions 46.20 x 34.14 x 5.68mm.

  • RoadRunner 505 and PCDVRR505 compatibility: Both models share the same internal cell format, connector pinout, and BMS handshake. The ICR533443 cell fits the same housing slot and communicates correctly with the dashcam's charge controller on either variant.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a dashcam test rig. The BMS held cutoff at the correct low-voltage threshold and accepted a full charge without triggering overcharge protection faults.
  • Parking mode calibration after install: After installing a new internal cell, complete one full drive cycle — engine on, full charge, engine off — before relying on parking mode. The dashcam's capacitor management system needs one calibrated cycle against the new cell before parking mode duration stabilises accurately.

Parking mode recording cutting out on the RoadRunner 505

Parking mode draws sustained current from the internal cell with no alternator input to replenish it. A degraded cell hits the BMS low-voltage cutoff faster than expected, ending the recording session early. The RoadRunner 505 does not warn you before shutdown — footage simply stops. A fresh 900mAh cell restores the full parking mode window the camera was configured to deliver.

Footage corrupt or missing after a parking mode session

When the internal cell voltage sags under load, the dashcam can lose power mid-write. The RoadRunner 505 writes footage in rolling segments, and an interrupted write leaves the active file unreadable. Earlier completed segments are unaffected, but the final clip is lost. If this happens repeatedly, check cell voltage under load — a healthy ICR533443 cell should not sag below 3.4V during normal parking mode draw.

Frequently Asked Questions

My RoadRunner 505 won't start recording when I turn the engine on — it just sits there until I press the button manually. Why?

The internal battery is likely too depleted to boot the dashcam before the ignition signal registers. The camera needs a minimum charge in the internal cell to complete its startup sequence independently. With a fully depleted or failed cell, the dashcam waits for manual input instead of auto-starting. Replace the ICR533443 cell and allow one full charge via the hardwire kit or USB before your next drive.

The battery gets noticeably warm after a long parking mode session — is that a problem?

Some heat is expected. The RoadRunner 505 housing traps heat, and sustained discharge draw during parking mode raises cell temperature inside a sealed enclosure. What you want to avoid is the cell staying hot to the touch more than a few minutes after the session ends — that points to the cell working harder than it should, usually because capacity has dropped. A replacement 900mAh ICR533443 cell running within spec should return to ambient temperature within five minutes of the session ending.

My new battery charged up fine but parking mode only runs for a fraction of what it used to — what's going on?

This is normal in the first one or two cycles after a cell replacement. The dashcam's internal management system hasn't yet calibrated its low-voltage cutoff estimate against the new cell's discharge curve, so it shuts down parking mode earlier than necessary. Run two complete drive cycles — full charge each time — and parking mode duration should stabilise at the level a 900mAh cell supports.
