Fits Prunus L-288 smartphone; replaces OEM battery CS-AVC120SL.
3.7V, 1200mAh lithium-ion cell sustains moderate load current through standby and active use cycles.
Connector seats flush into L-288 battery slot with standard smartphone contact alignment and retention clip.
We bench-tested this cell through five full charge-discharge cycles; BMS accepted input at stock charger voltage with no fault cutoff.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Prunus L-288 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1200mAh Li-ion cell for the Prunus L-288 mobile phone. It fits the L-288 directly, restoring power when the original cell has degraded or failed. Capacity is 4.44Wh — matched to the original specification.

  • L-288 cell compatibility: The L-288 uses a compact single-cell pack at 3.7V nominal. The physical footprint is 53.00 × 33.90 × 5.70mm — any deviation will prevent the rear cover from seating or cause connector misalignment. This cell matches all three dimensions.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS accepted charge handshake correctly, held voltage above 3.6V through mid-discharge, and tripped protection at the expected low-voltage threshold without false cutoffs.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle before resuming normal use. The phone's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — one full cycle lets it remap to the new cell before high-current charging begins.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Prunus L-288 after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. A fresh cell has a slightly different discharge curve than the degraded original — the fuel gauge IC still uses the old curve to estimate state of charge. When the phone reports 25%, the new cell may already be at 3.5V or lower under modem and screen load, which crosses the BMS cutoff threshold. The phone shuts off before the display reaches 0%. One full discharge-charge cycle forces the coulomb counter to re-anchor its curve to the new cell, and the shutdowns stop.

Battery percentage jumping erratically after replacement

Erratic percentage readings — jumping from 60% to 80% or dropping suddenly — point to a fuel gauge IC that has not yet mapped the new cell. The IC uses stored charge-curve data from the old, degraded cell to estimate remaining capacity, and the mismatch produces unstable readings. This is not a fault with the replacement cell itself. Drain the phone fully until it shuts down automatically, charge uninterrupted to 100%, and the gauge will stabilise from that point forward.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Prunus L-288 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is the cell dead?

Probably not dead, but the BMS has locked out due to deep discharge below 2.5V per cell during storage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs time to trickle current into the cell before the BMS will re-initialise and allow a normal boot. If the screen shows no response after 30 minutes, try a different cable before assuming cell failure.

The Prunus L-288 feels warm near the battery during the first few charges after a swap — is that normal?

Mild warmth during early charging cycles is expected with a new high-impedance cell. A fresh Li-ion cell has slightly higher internal resistance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC dissipates more energy as heat until the cell conditions over the first few cycles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or charging stops and restarts repeatedly, that points to a charge IC fault rather than the cell. Normal warmth fades after three to five full cycles.

Fast charging stopped working on my L-288 after I fitted the new battery — the phone just slow-charges now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the phone's charge controller may not handshake the fast-charge protocol until it has completed one standard charge. This happens because the BMS on a new cell presents different impedance characteristics, and some charge ICs default to a conservative current limit until they confirm cell health. Charge the phone fully once at standard speed, then disconnect and reconnect the charger — fast charging typically re-enables from the second cycle onward. If it does not, check that the charger output is at least 5V/2A.
