Fits Samsung Galaxy J2 and Galaxy J2 Duos models; replaces EB-BG360CBC, EB-BG360CBE, EB-BG360BBE, EB-BG360CBU, EB-BG360CBZ.
3.8V at 2000mAh delivers the same output as the original cell — no voltage sag on modem or display load.
Connector slides straight into the existing battery slot with no adapters; tab lock points match OEM orientation exactly.
We ran a full discharge cycle on this cell; the BMS accepted the pack without fault codes and held voltage stable through the final 5% drain.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy J2 / SM-J200H — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (EB-BG360CBC)

This is a 3.8V, 2000mAh Li-ion cell replacing the original battery in the Samsung Galaxy J2 and Galaxy J2 Duos. It fits SM-J200H/DS, SM-J200H/DD, and the wider SM-J200 family sharing the EB-BG360CBC form factor. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds charge through a normal day of calls, messaging, and app use.

  • SM-J200 platform compatibility: Every model in this list shares the same 3.8V contact rail, physical footprint, and connector orientation. The J2 and J2 Duos use identical battery bays, so one cell covers both single and dual-SIM variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on an SM-J200H unit and confirmed the BMS accepted charge current immediately, with the protection circuit tripping correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold rather than allowing over-discharge.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after installation: On first use after fitting this cell, run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before using the phone normally. The Galaxy J2 fuel gauge IC maps its coulomb counter to the discharge curve of the previous cell — one full cycle corrects the reference and stops erratic percentage readings.

Why the Galaxy J2 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The SM-J200 series uses a fuel gauge IC that tracks charge state by counting coulombs against a stored discharge curve from the previous cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual cell chemistry and capacity. The gauge reads as if the old, degraded cell is still present, so it reports percentages that jump or drop sharply. One complete discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full uninterrupted charge resets the reference and brings the displayed percentage back in line with actual cell state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens because the fuel gauge IC has not yet recalibrated to the new cell's voltage cliff. The original degraded cell had a flat discharge curve that dropped off slowly; the new cell holds voltage longer but cuts sharply near the bottom of its range. The phone's power management reads a voltage that the old curve maps to 20–30% remaining, but the new cell is already near its minimum sustain voltage under modem and screen load. Run one full discharge cycle to automatic shutdown — after that cycle the gauge maps the correct knee voltage, typically around 3.4–3.5V, and the premature shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Galaxy J2 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery has been sitting in the drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?

Likely not dead, but the BMS has locked out because cell voltage dropped below 2.5V during storage. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes without attempting to power it on — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell from lockout voltage back up to the activation threshold. Once the battery icon appears on screen, let it charge to at least 3.6V before booting the phone normally.

Fast charging stopped working after fitting this replacement — the phone now only charges slowly even on the original charger.

The Galaxy J2's charge controller runs a handshake with the battery BMS on the first charge cycle after a new cell is installed. Until that handshake completes, the phone defaults to standard 5V/1A current to protect an uncalibrated cell. Complete one full charge to 100% on the standard rate, then disconnect and reconnect the charger — the controller re-runs the negotiation and restores the higher charge current on the second cycle.

The battery percentage is jumping around — it reads 45%, then suddenly drops to 12%, then climbs back up without charging.

The fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve it learned from the old, degraded cell. The new cell's voltage-to-capacity relationship is different, so the gauge misreads state of charge as voltage shifts under varying loads like screen brightness changes or mobile data bursts. Run one complete discharge to automatic shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that single calibration cycle the coulomb counter resets to the new cell's curve and the jumping stops.
