Fits Redmi Note 11E and Note 11E 5G smartphones, replacing OEM battery part number BN5H.
Voltage 3.87V, capacity 4900mAh—matches original cell output for standard daily usage cycles.
Connector aligns with factory slot; Li-Polymer pack seats flush without adapter or modification needed.
We bench-tested this cell on a Note 11E for full charge-discharge; BMS accepted input cleanly, fuel gauge initialized without lockout flags.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell curve before high-current charging begins.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Redmi Note 11E / Note 11E 5G — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BN5H)

This is a 3.87V, 4900mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Redmi Note 11E and Note 11E 5G smartphones. OEM part number BN5H. It slots into the original battery bay and connects via the existing flex cable and fuel gauge circuit.

  • Note 11E and Note 11E 5G compatibility: Both the 4G and 5G variants of the Note 11E use the same BN5H cell, same connector pinout, and the same fuel gauge IC on the motherboard. The 5G modem draws higher peak current during handshake bursts, so the cell must meet the same discharge rate spec as the 4G model — this one does.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on a Note 11E unit, monitoring BMS handshake, charge acceptance at full current, and cutoff behaviour at low state of charge. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and charge termination triggered correctly at 4.35V.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the coulomb counter locks in its reference points — skipping this step is the main cause of erratic percentage readings post-swap.

Why the Note 11E reports wrong battery percentage after a BN5H cell swap

The fuel gauge IC on the Note 11E motherboard stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship of the replacement. The gauge reads voltage but maps it against old data, so it reports a percentage that drifts from reality — typically showing full until a sudden drop. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard current forces the coulomb counter to relearn the curve against the new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on the new cell

This happens when the display or modem pulls peak current and the cell voltage dips below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. It is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. A fresh cell running on an uncalibrated fuel gauge will show inflated percentages, so the phone shuts down at what looks like 25% but is actually closer to 5% real charge. Run the recalibration cycle first; if shutdowns persist after that, check that cell voltage at rest reads above 3.6V before use.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Note 11E won't power on at all after the new BN5H battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?

Probably not dead, but the BMS has locked out below the recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell. Connect the phone to a wall charger, not a USB port, and leave it for 30–45 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS releases and allows normal boot. If the charge LED activates, the cell is recovering; check for a stable voltage above 3.5V before attempting to power on.

Fast charging stopped working after fitting the BN5H — the phone charges slowly on the same charger that worked before.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS on a new cell sometimes does not accept the handshake for Redmi's proprietary fast charge protocol and falls back to standard 5V charging. This is not a fault — it resolves after one full standard charge cycle completes and the BMS registers a full charge termination at 4.35V. Plug in the original charger after that cycle and fast charging should re-engage; if it does not, test with a second fast-charge-rated cable, as the cable handshake line is separate from the BMS negotiation.

Battery percentage is jumping around erratically — goes from 60% to 45% then back to 55% without any real use.

The fuel gauge IC is still running its calibration against the old cell's discharge curve. The coulomb counter loses accuracy when the reference data does not match the new cell's actual voltage profile. Drain the phone fully until it shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard current with fast charging disabled. After that single complete cycle, the gauge recalibrates and percentage readings stabilise.
