Fits RoboJet Duel 3 cordless vacuum cleaner, replaces OEM part number 2018121.
14.4V 2600mAh Li-ion cell powers the dual vacuum and mop motor through extended cleaning cycles without mid-run dropout.
Connector slides into the Duel 3 battery slot with a single locking tab on the left side; verify seating before powering on.
We tested this cell on the Duel 3 motor load bench — BMS accepted the pack on first insertion and held voltage stable under sustained suction draw.
Do not leave the Duel 3 on its charging dock permanently after reaching full charge; continuous trickle charging degrades capacity faster than removing after full and charging only when depleted.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

RoboJet Duel 3 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (2018121)

This 14.4V Li-ion battery replaces part number 2018121 in the RoboJet Duel 3 cordless robotic vacuum. It delivers 2600mAh capacity across the vacuum and mop functions the Duel 3 runs simultaneously. Swap it when the original cell no longer holds enough charge to complete a cleaning cycle.

  • RoboJet Duel 3 fit: The Duel 3 runs both suction and mopping motors off the same 14.4V rail, so the BMS must handle two concurrent draw profiles. This cell matches that voltage rail and connector pinout exactly.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full discharge under combined vacuum and mop motor load. The BMS held stable through repeated motor-start surges without tripping overcurrent cutoff.
  • Dock charging discipline: Do not leave the Duel 3 sitting on the charging dock between uses. Continuous dock charge trickle-damages Li-ion cells faster than any other use pattern. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock until the next run.

Battery fade from leaving the Duel 3 on the dock permanently

Li-ion cells degrade faster when held at 100% state of charge for extended periods — a common outcome with always-docked robotic vacuums. The Duel 3 charger does not cut power completely once the cell is full; it maintains a low trickle that stresses the top of the charge curve. Over weeks, this compresses the usable capacity window. Charge the battery fully, remove the vacuum from the dock, and return it only when the cell needs replenishing.

Suction dropping off before the battery indicator shows low

A partially blocked filter forces the suction motor to draw more current than its rated load. That extra draw causes voltage to sag at the cell terminals even when the battery still shows charge remaining. The BMS reads that sag as a low-voltage condition and reduces power to protect the cell — so suction drops while the indicator still reads mid-range. Clean or replace the filter first; if suction recovers, the battery is not the cause.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Duel 3 suction cuts out for a few seconds then comes back — is that the battery or the motor?

That stop-and-recover pattern is almost always a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failing motor. When the filter is partially blocked, airflow restriction makes the motor labour harder, pulling current above the BMS trip threshold. The BMS cuts power briefly to protect the cell, then resets once current drops. Clean the filter thoroughly and run again — if the cutting-out stops, the battery is fine.

My new replacement battery seems to run the Duel 3 for noticeably less time than the original did when it was new — what causes that on a fresh cell?

A new cell underperforming usually points to a blocked filter forcing the motors to draw above rated current, which burns through capacity faster than normal. It can also indicate the cell shipped in a partially discharged state — Li-ion cells lose capacity if stored discharged for extended periods before sale. Run two full charge-discharge cycles and check that both the vacuum filter and mop module are clear of debris. If capacity does not improve after two cycles, check cell voltage at rest — it should sit between 16.0V and 16.8V fully charged.

The Duel 3 won't start a cleaning cycle after I fitted the replacement battery — the dock light just blinks.

A blinking dock light after a battery swap usually means the charger is waiting for a BMS handshake before it will authorise power to the vacuum's control board. Seat the battery firmly — connector pins that are even slightly misaligned break the communication circuit. Remove the battery, reseat it with firm pressure until it clicks, then place the unit on the dock for at least 60 seconds before attempting to start a cycle.
