Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Rollei RCP-8325X / Movieline DV5 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion battery fits the Rollei RCP-8325X, RCP-10325X, Movieline DV5, and Movieline P3 compact cameras. It slots into the same battery compartment as the original cell and connects via the same three-contact terminal. Dimensions are 53.20 × 35.30 × 7.10mm — confirm these match your camera before ordering.
- Cross-model fit — RCP and Movieline platforms: The RCP-8325X, RCP-10325X, Movieline DV5, and Movieline P3 share the same battery bay geometry and voltage rail at 3.7V nominal. One cell covers all listed models because the BMS expects the same charge curve across the platform.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on compatible Rollei bodies. The BMS completed full handshake, accepted charge via both USB-input charger and in-body charging where supported, and held voltage within spec across the discharge curve.
- First-install charge cycle on Rollei compact bodies: Before shooting, run one full charge cycle directly in the camera body or the original Rollei charger. Rollei compact camera firmware maps the battery-remaining indicator against a charge profile — skipping this step can cause the indicator to read inaccurately from the first shot.
Camera showing dead battery indicator on a partially charged replacement cell
Rollei compact camera bodies store a learned discharge curve from the previous cell. When a new cell goes in, the firmware compares current voltage against old calibration data and can flag the battery as flat even when it holds a genuine charge. This is a calibration mismatch, not a faulty cell. Insert the replacement and charge it fully in the camera body — the firmware recalibrates against the new cell's curve during that first charge session. After one complete cycle, the indicator should track accurately from 4.2V down.
Battery percentage jumping erratically on the display mid-shoot
This happens when the camera's voltage-threshold map doesn't yet align with the new cell's actual discharge curve. The indicator samples terminal voltage at fixed intervals — if the new cell drops voltage faster or slower at a given state of charge than the original, the readout skips steps or jumps backwards. It's not a capacity defect. Run two full charge-discharge cycles in the camera body and the indicator's sampling points will re-anchor to the real curve. After that, readings stabilise and step down smoothly.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Rollei RCP-8325X shows "no battery" or refuses to power on after I installed the replacement — what's wrong?
This is the camera BMS running an authentication check against the new cell's voltage signature. It happens most often when the replacement hasn't been charged before first install. Place the battery in the camera, connect the charger, and let it run a full charge cycle without interrupting it. After the cycle completes, power the camera on — the body accepts the cell once it has seen a full charge from rest.
The flash on my Rollei compact isn't recycling fully between shots with the new battery — is the cell underpowered?
Flash capacitor recharge pulls a sharp current spike from the cell. If the replacement cell's terminal voltage sags under that spike — common when the cell is below 3.5V — the capacitor doesn't fully charge before the next shot. The result is reduced flash output or a slower ready indicator. Keep the cell above half charge during flash-heavy shooting, and if recycling stays slow even on a full charge, check that the battery contacts in the bay are clean and seated flat.
The shot count on my Rollei RCP-10325X is lower than expected from a 1050mAh cell — what's eating the charge?
Rated capacity is measured under a steady, low-current drain. Compact cameras add burst to that number — continuous autofocus, image stabilisation if active, LCD brightness, and video encoding all draw simultaneously during a shot. Cold ambient temperatures also suppress usable capacity because Li-ion cells deliver less current below 10°C. If shot count is consistently low, check whether the camera is running in a high-drain mode like 1080p video or continuous AF, and charge the cell to 4.2V before a full shooting session rather than pulling it off charge early.
