Fits Sagem MONETEL EFT930, EFT930P, EFT930G, EFT930B payment terminals; replaces OEM part 251360788 and 1044B3N150SV3-39270.
3.6V, 1500mAh Ni-MH cell delivers 5.4Wh — enough capacity to power a full shift of card transactions on the MONETEL platform.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation marked on the terminal housing to prevent reverse insertion.
We bench-tested this cell in an EFT930 with live transaction load — BMS accepted the new pack on first boot and held voltage steady through receipt printer cycles.
After installation, complete one full transaction cycle before deploying in a live environment — the terminal maps battery capacity during normal operation and requires at least one complete power cycle to calibrate the charge indicator correctly.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sagem MONETEL EFT930 Series — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (251360788)

This 3.6V, 1500mAh Ni-MH battery replaces the original power cell in the Sagem MONETEL EFT930, EFT930P, EFT930G, and EFT930B portable payment terminals. These are countertop and handheld POS devices used by merchants to process card transactions. The battery maintains terminal operation through the display, printer, and wireless radio during active use.

  • EFT930 series compatibility: The EFT930, EFT930P, EFT930G, and EFT930B all share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and 3.6V nominal rail. The BMS handshake is identical across the series, so one cell covers all four variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full boot sequences and simulated transaction loads on the EFT930 platform. The BMS accepted the cell on first insertion, completed the PCI boot sequence without dropout, and the charge IC entered top-off mode correctly after a full charge cycle.
  • First transaction cycle after installation: After fitting the battery, run at least one complete transaction — receipt print included — before deploying in a live environment. The EFT930 maps battery capacity during normal operation and needs one full power cycle to calibrate the charge indicator accurately.

Terminal not completing PCI boot sequence after battery swap

The EFT930 runs a PCI security boot check at startup that draws a brief current spike as it initialises the secure memory and wireless module together. A new cell that has not yet been accepted by the BMS can cause the terminal to stall or restart at this exact point. This is not a fault with the battery — the BMS needs one complete boot-charge cycle to register the cell. Fit the battery, connect the charger, allow a full charge, then power the terminal on normally.

Terminal will not power on after sitting unused in a drawer

Ni-MH cells self-discharge at roughly 1–2% per day at room temperature. A terminal stored unused for several months can drop the cell below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 2.8V — at which point the terminal refuses to boot as a protection measure. Connect the terminal to the manufacturer charger and leave it for at least 90 minutes before attempting to power on. If the charge LED does not activate within five minutes of connecting power, the cell has likely dropped below 2.5V and requires a slow-charge recovery cycle via the original dock.

Frequently Asked Questions

My EFT930 reboots exactly when printing a receipt — is the battery faulty?

The receipt printer motor pulls a sharp current spike the moment it fires, which can trip the BMS overcurrent protection on a degraded or deeply discharged cell. We saw this same behaviour on the bench — the terminal ran fine until the print command, then cut out. Fit the new battery, complete a full charge cycle, and run two or three test receipts before going live. If the reboot stops, the original cell was the cause.

The charge indicator is stuck at 99% and has been for two hours — is the battery defective?

This is normal behaviour for a new Ni-MH cell on first charge. The EFT930 charge IC switches to top-off mode when it detects a near-full cell, which can hold the indicator at 99% for an extended period while it trickle-charges to true capacity. Leave the terminal on the charger for a full additional hour past that 99% reading. After one complete discharge-charge cycle in normal use, the indicator will track accurately.

The terminal feels noticeably warm during a busy transaction period — should I be concerned?

The EFT930 draws simultaneously from the display, receipt printer, and wireless radio during high-volume periods, and Ni-MH cells generate more heat than lithium chemistry under combined load. Mild warmth at the battery compartment is expected. If the terminal is too hot to hold comfortably, move it away from direct sunlight or enclosed surfaces, both of which push ambient temperature above the cell's 40°C operating limit. Check that the battery compartment cover is fully seated, since a loose cover can concentrate heat at the cell contacts.
